4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20Bottle. The pour was a clear reddish copper orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that diminished quickly into a thin layer of residue that lasted throughout and produced some excellent sticky lacing.
The aroma had a Farmhouse funkiness to it, with a sweaty grain malt, some wild yeast and had notes of sour grapes, red wine and a nice woody oak.
The taste was sweetly acidic, quite tart and very fruity right off and then became sweetly sour with a strong wine characteristic and a hint of wood at the end. The flavor stayed with you for a nice long time after the swallow, allowing for a nice sour grape finish.
Mouthfeel was right in the middle of light and medium in body and very dry in texture, like a nice Merlot with a fizzy carbonation.
Overall a very unique tasting strong ale, one like I have never tasted in the past, but definitely plan to do so again in the future.

On tap a City Beer 2011 vintage. Lots of sourness and grape goodness on the nose, taste is somewhere between a lambic and a triple lots of sourness with a dry finish. Good stuff

a good oak aged smell great looking beer cloudy taste was wonderful a sour but not to much it felt great in the mouth but better after it went down overall it was a great beer and i would recommend this beer

Draft at Pony Bar UES. Pours slightly hazy reddish gold with medium white soapy head. Aroma is slighlty sour funk with some citrus notes. Taste is slightly sour, leathery, funky with notes of citrus, brett, oak and stone fruits. Really nice.

On tap at HOTB. Light Brett nose but not overpowering. Bit of oak and hint of tartness. Hazy amber golden with thin head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts medium sweet with underlying funky-Brett and tart side. Oaky notes with neutral fruit, with light bitter finish. Ends with some carbonic tang and underlying bitter funky quality.

Cloudy yellowish pour with tart and fruit aromas. The brett definitely out shines the over flavors with a mild fruit finish. I was wanting a little more fruit flavors, but the brett overpowered.

Hazy amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, yeast, some oak, tangy fruit, & vinous notes; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, oak, fruit (notably apples & grapes), some caramel, and spice; Finish is dry and somewhat tart/sour; Fairly well balanced; Interesting brew - but this was just ok for me.

pours hazy amber brown with low fast dissipating head. S - nice sour and red wine aromas first. Vinegar, tannins, oak, lemon, salt, hints of caramel malts. M - tart up front, low flat middle, lingering spicy malty end. T - tart lemon, red wine and tannins up front. Simple sugar malts, hay, orange juice. Bitter hop notes. Coriander, tart canned cherries, lingering red wine. O - good but simple tart fruity barrel beer. 3.5

Draft/bottle. Golden pour with beige head. Sweet and tart aromas with fruit , woody and Brett tones. Flavor is sweeter in the tap version than I expected, tart and sour tones follow with fruit and light oak.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy yellow color with a frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of cherries, stone fruits, caramel, citrus, hay and brett. The taste is earth, stone fruits, cherries, mild funk, light tannins, mild hops. Thin-medium bodied.
