3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is smooth coffee, hazelnuts. The appearance is slightly hazy yellow/orange, white head. The flavor is strongly coffee, hazelnut. The finish is just like the flavor. I couldn’t get past the coffee or the hazelnut flavors to find anything else. Still, I enjoyed this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at barcade during their anniversary party. Pours a glowing hazy orange body with thin white lacing. Aroma is pepper and coffee, strange but nice Mouthfeel is medium with notes of coffee, fruit, citrus, spice and peppers. Interesting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
tap Barcade: This beer deserves a category all on its own. Pour is peach toned. The nose is hazelnuts, peanuts, green coffee and some pepper. Taste is sweet with light coffee, peanut butter and caramel. Smooth, creamy body. Coffee, nutty overtones. hardly any belgian flavors to speak of. Odd but good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Barcade. Very little coffee influence. Mid orange pour. Big, yeasty nose, a little vanilla latte. Full, mid-sweet body, oak, bubblegum, with coffee in the midbody. Surprisingly quaffable. Coffee is light but balanced.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Churchkey. Pours a hazy straw, small bubbly head. Nose and flavor are strange and don’t quite work with me, with strange coffee notes interfering with the Curieux concept of barrel-aged tripel. The lovely combination of bread, stone fruit, and tannins are masked by a bitter espresso character. Not a fan.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Churchkey. Murky orange gold color, small white edge head, solid lacing. Aroma of intense freshly roasted coffee beans. Taste is smooth coffee, vanilla, straw, pineapple. Coffee and whiskey, and interesting mix.
