A hazed golden sour ale with a thin lacing white head. A superb aroma of ground cherries, lactic points, epsom salts, quite nice. In mouth, a classic balanced sour ale woth sour cherries, tart wheat, very smooth and delicious. On tap at Brewvival, Feb. 26 2011.

Draft at Fireworks pizza. Pours golden with an inch of thick white foam and it leaves a fair amount of lacing. Bit of floral on the nose. I get a bit of funk on the tongue but not much else. Finishes clean.

Had this at the Night of the Funk, November 5, 2010. Poured from the tap into a tasting glass. The color was a hazy orange with a thin wisp of foamy white head and some slight lacing on the glass. The smell is a bit of vanilla and some good funky flavor with some oak flavor. The taste is a little sweet and a bit funky. This is a little young so the sour character in this beer is just starting to mix itself into the the malty flavor. The vanilla is nice and the woody flavor is there to complete the flavor profile. The feel of this beer is pretty smooth with a medium body and a nice funky feel to it. Complex but light this beer goes down quickly and has a nice aftertaste.

On tap at Churchkey. Hazy golden pour with a large frothy head. Nose is fairly subtle with hints of nectar fruit and light funky brett. The flavor brings more bread and subtle grain to the forefront with unexciting sourness. Kind of disappointing and lacking complexity.

Sour candy beer. Yet very refreshing. Had this in a trio of LBB, Interlude, & Vrienden. Liked this the best. I’m a whore for bretts tho.

4oz pour at the Lupulin Reunuless at RFD DC. Pours a hazy, orange with a frothy, white head. Nose is awesome, fruity, candy sugar, a little band aid, light cheese, some tartness. Flavor is tart, limes, lemon peel, light tropical fruit,m some coconut, white grapes. Full bodied, tart, lightly acidic finish. Plenty of wood throughout. Nice apple flavors. I loved every bit of this, went back for several additional pints.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at Night of the Funk. Beer pours a somewhat murky orangish-copper color with a thin white head and a bit of lacing. The nose brings forward a bit of bread crust along with some citrus fruits and a bit of green apple. Taste is nice with a blend of citrus and some light breadiness. Nothing too complex, but pretty good for what it is. Light spice in the background. Feel consists of some very effervescent carbonation on a light to medium body. Drinkability was pretty decent, but it wasn’t quite what I hoped for. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 03-15-2011
