Prince Tuesday was first brewed in 2011 for the 1st Annual Maine Brewer’s Guild Festival in Boothbay. A celebration of good neighbors and the beer we make, this beer combines Maine grown rye, copious amounts of hops, and a Belgian yeast strain. In further celebration of good neighbors, we are donating a portion of the proceeeds to Portland Trails. www.trails.org

On tap at Cask and Vine with Mr Barleywine. I started and ended the night with this, great brew. Huge citrus and fruity hop aroma with bits of bread and spicy rye adorned with hints of pepper and clove. Flavor follows the aroma. Great brew, if only the bottles weren’t so obscenely priced.

2013 750 mL bottle courtesy of Travlr, 5/23/14. Thanks! Pours a hazy orange color with a large pillowy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of spicy yeast, citrus, stone fruits, earth, caramel, rye bread. The taste is strong yeast, pepper, rye, citrus, pale bready malt. Medium bodied, lingering spice. 100th specialty grain rating!

Very bitter aroma with pine, citrus, rye, and some Belgian yeast. Flavor is bitter but smooth, with a little underlying sweetness from the Belgian yeast. Bitter, spicy, fruity finish. A fine effort from some quality brewers.

Draft sample at Allagash. This is a Belgian style IPA. The yeast is there, some sweet malt and well hopped. A high quality example of the style. Citrus in the flavor as well.

Poured from a bottle in a snifter at the brewery. Pours golden/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and lightly fruits hops, some pale and light caramel malts, light rye notes, hints of light fruits, and some spicy notes from the yeast. Flavor a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A really cool beer.

750ml corked and caged bottle. Heavy belgian yeast aroma, flavor is classic maine hopping with allagash yeast and is quite dry.

Draft @ Sunset Grill & Tap. Hazy straw color with lasting head retention. Aroma is Belgian inspired yeast with a light amount of rye. Body is on the medium side with a dry texture. Flavor shows light rye hints, light grass and hay with a large yeast presence. The finish has an odd herbal/ medicinal tone to it. Uh? The finish just throws this a bit out of kilter for me.

Awesome stuff. Great blonde Belgian strong. Great floral yeast. Big foamy head with golden pour and lots of lacing. Finishes with light sweetness and some sourness from rye. Coriander. Thanks to travlr.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet honey and yeast aromas. Crisp with bitter earth and lemon zest. Lasting grapefruit finish.
