COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prince Tuesday was first brewed in 2011 for the 1st Annual Maine Brewer’s Guild Festival in Boothbay. A celebration of good neighbors and the beer we make, this beer combines Maine grown rye, copious amounts of hops, and a Belgian yeast strain. In further celebration of good neighbors, we are donating a portion of the proceeeds to Portland Trails. www.trails.org

On tap at Allagash. What a beautifully made beer. The aroma is hugely hoppy with loads of citrus notes like pineapple, mango and a dash of spiced notes. The flavor is highly fruity, in a great beer-like way and citrusy. Grassy notes come out in the finish. The esters in the flavor are flawless, the most tasteful banana suggestions buried under the bold flavors of hops and grain. Belgian IPA’s are usually not so amazing, but this could be the best example of one I’ve ever had.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a large, creamy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is spicy hops, pineapple, apricot, and mango esters, earthy Belgian yeast, spicy rye malt. Flavor is Belgian funky yeast, fruity esters, medium hops and bitterness, spicy hops with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

On tap at The Festival. Gold pour with thick white head. Aroma is citrus, lots of cereal, piney hops. Very aromatic. Taste is sweet white fruits with soapy hops. Too sweet for my liking. Heavy palate. Alcohol is discernable. Not very enjoyable.

Bottle 750ml. Pours blond with vey low white head. Aroma and taste are of fruits and malt. Overall: Not very good. Somewhat watery. I’ve never been much of a rye lover. Well I dunno why, this one did not make it for me.

bottle shared by david, thanks! pours hazy pale yellow with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. fresh cereals - rye-ish, citrusy and strawberry-like hops, floral, white grapes - very fruity. spicy-citrusy light to medium hopping for a nice slightly lingering finish. bright carbonation, light body. enjoyable, even though an assertive grainy character was anticipated.
