Nice little surprise at the brewery tour tasting. Pours a straw light gold with a moderate white top. Aroma is an amazing bouquet of intense citrus and floral hops, coupled with belgian yeast and a slight spice from the rye malt. Taste is awesome, big citrus but well balanced with the small spice from the rye and everything is dried out so elegantly with the belgian yeast. I wish I could bring this home and drink it everynight. Even my brother-in-law that I dragged to the brewery and drinks Molson Dry was blown away by this.

Hazy blonde with a good thick white head that leaves a great ring. Fruit salad on the nose with bubble gum esters. Light to medium body, good carbonation, fruit salad again on the palate, a bit of sweet citrus, medium bitterness, a bit of spicy hop and a pleasant lingering fruitiness and finishes on a great dryness. Did’nt felt like a 8% beer, could drink this all day! Great Belgian IPA.

Bottle courtesy of Paul at a tasting at Andy’s the day after doing a tasting at Paul’s. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Sweet lemon and musk on the nose, dusty musk, a bit of yeast. Lemony, grain and sweet musk. Medium bodied, very light and clean. Not very spicy, but there’s a lovely amount of citrus throughout this. Long earthy musk, toasty and yeasty. Very nice, super drinkable, very refreshing.

On tap at Great Lost Beer, fresh and down the street from these breweries. Big C-hop, tasty and lacey on a cloudy yellow body. Fuller mouthfeel. Carbonation is right there. Hoppy for an Allagash, that’s probably the Rising Tide contribution.

Bottle shared by Dick-in-son-beer. Very herbal, leafy aroma, kind of like a raw leaf off the tree rather than the pantry. Tobacco, raw cacao, violet and lavender. There’s a very round sweetness in the flavor up front from the rye but it finishes fairly dry. Typical Allagash yeast character. Surprisingly big bodied with a ripe, raw hop finish. I would have liked to see this ferment out a little further, but a solid beer despite the sugar.

Bottle… Hazy golden ale with a large, pillowy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma furnishes notes of resiny hops, herbs, biscuit malt and rye. Medium to full-bodied and raspy with busy carbonation. The flavor offers spicy-sweet rye malt and loads of citrusy, rindy and grassy hop bitterness. Crisp, moderately bitter, drying finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
