Tap at BT for VSK night. Pours brownish copper. Nose of syrup and booze. tastes of sweet maple syrup, brandy, plums, raisins, earth, leather, malt, and light woodiness. warming and sweet on finish. i could see being appropriate sipper on cold Maine winter night although huge quantities may pose issues.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
On tap at Blind Tiger for VSK. Super sweet overall with seemingly random spikes of puckering tartness at different points during the drink. Maple doesn’t work with the flavor profile, at least not in this quantity. Doesn’t work at all; time to go back to the drawing board, guys. Honestly might be the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with an Allagash beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Blind Tiger, for VSK. Crazy sweet aroma, with fig, plum, maple syrup, and wort. Big, bright, brutish body, almost pure sugar, much like a desert wine. Could use some extensive aging to cool off and integrate a bit.
