4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at EBF. The sours that Allagash have produced are just stellar, and this one is no different. Slightly acidic with a good balance between the fruit flavors and the sour tartness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
375mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Sam! Nice jammy raspberry nose, clean and brightly acidic. Flavors develop along the raspberry jam notes, keeping it fresh, lactic, and rounded. Thereís a bit of seediness that rounds the raspberry character. Not as complex many of the other really good raspberry sours Iíve had, but it does a really good job of having strong singular raspberries and sourness in nice, enjoyable characters. A fun treat.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at Brewvival 2012. One of the first beers of the day, and definitely one of the best ones there. Clear copper pour with ring of white head. The funky earthy nose was quite good, but the flavor just sent it over the top. Fantastic tart raspberry through and through. perfect amount of acidity. A truly lovely sour.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drinking this side by side with half a dozen lambics and while it is certainly a nice beer, the acetic acid and dirty sock note definitely differentiate it from the others. Still, this is a very nice sour. The acetic acid is just under the level where it would really start to detract from it. Really nice fresh raspberry.
