On tap. Very interesting stuff, seemed more like a sour than a scotch. Poured a hazy amber color with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, light brown sugar, funk, brett, and light oak. Flavor consists of some caramel malt that leads into a lightly hoppy, funky barnyard yeast that is a bit tart, and finishes with some oak. Full on the palate with some oak bite on the finish. Very nice and definitely interesting.

Oct 4, 2008 Thanks to Naka for sharing! Clear copper body with a thin white head. Smells spicy, sweet, caramel, o-zone, and buttery. Interesting, clean, crisp, oaky taste. Really cool and interested. Caramel, bread, sweet clove and maple syrup notes. Reminds a lot of Scotch Silly.

Sep 27, 2008 [Bottle] Shared by BDR. Pours a nice brownish red with a large beige head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Touch of peat and smoke, oak, and sweet dark fruits. Flavor matches with some vanilla and bourbon. Good effort but not outstanding.

Sep 21, 2008 From bottle courtesy of Naka. A bit of oak and honey and not much else in the aroma. Reddish amber clear with thin head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with mild oak and alcohol warming. Thin but tasty. Woody. Bitter finish with dry after.

Sep 16, 2008 750ml. March 2008 vintage. Picked up on a trip to Texas. Aroma has a wood nose with some vanilla. Brown bodyy with red hue and tan creamy head. Flavor has a high carbination cola to it. Wood and creamy vanilla flavors as well. Wet wood aftertaste. For a scotch ale not over sweet and easy on the palate. Good brew.

Sep 14, 2008 March 2008 bottle. Pours with a large, creamy light brown head covering a murky deep auburn body. Good retention. Aroma of vanilla, peet, burbon, alcohol, and some dark fruits. Taste is peety, nutty, alcohol. A bit on the lively side carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. I feel that it is not even close to being worth the nearly $20 I paid for it.
