Commercial Description:
Late this year we plan to release a second beer in the Barrel Aged series... a dark, 10% wheat beer. We have been aging a portion of the beer in New American Medium Toast Oak, and a portion in Stainless steel. We will then blend the beers to taste, and bottle condition. The beer will have spent over 6 months aging in the oak and steel at the brewery!

Thanks to markuggs for this brew. Pours very dark, with a lasting head. Smell is very good, with hints of malt, and oak, almost sweet. Taste is top notch, very good. Only a touch of alcohol until it warms. Very, very good brew.

Pour dark brown with a fizzy tan head. The aroma is oaky, a bit of spiced rum, dried fruits, and a bit a background salty soy sauce. Ahhh but the flavor is huge. Very oaky with cooked sugars, raisins, tobacco, and a nice alcohol warmth. Highly carbonated. Crisp dry finish. What a really outstanding beer.

Pours dark brown like an overly syrupy Pepsi and has a creamy tan head. It has an aroma of roasted malt, dark caramel, molasses, dark brown sugar, pulpy fruits, and alcohol. Very smooth to drink, roasted malt, fruit, warm spices, vanilla, molasses, and a hint of oak. The finish is warm, sticky sweet, a has a feeling of liquor about it. Pretty good.
