Jun 27, 2005 (750ml, bottled 2/05) Big beige head atop a clear, dark red-brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, brown sugar, raisin, bourbon, vinous, some vanilla, light wood, faint peat. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, light plum. Surprisingly mild alcohol warming in the finish. Medium-full body that is much thinner than the bourbon its flavor suggests. Still, the aroma would have you believe a greater range of flavors await you than the beer actually delivers.
