Bottle. Hazy copperish pour with no head. Aroma of light vinegar, cherries, kind of on the flemish red side of things, some brett notes. Taste is surprisingly rather sweet than sour, some cough syrup notes, syrupy cherries, light vinegar. Palate is a tad flat and medium bodied. Not bad, but definitely not one of their good ones.

Bottle at home, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man!! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Funk, dusty, citric acid, floral, tangy, dusty, and cat urine in the aroma. Taste is acidic lemon, tangy, wood, yeast, dusty, funky basement, and vanilla with a lingering sour finish. Light body with soft carbonation. Not bad, not bad, at all.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Bottle @ Stephen’s house, courtesy of Lukaduke (I believe). Thanks a bunch! Pours a somewhat hazy, bright orange appearance with a very small, off white head. Quite spicy, fairly floral, tangy pie cherry, somewhat funky, fairly yeasty aroma- not nearly as complex or interesting as Coolship Cerise Kind of juicy, tart, sort of like black cherry, slightly tart, pie cherry, slightly sour, kind of woody, toasty malty flavor. Not nearly as much going on as some as the Coolship releases.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Clear/slightly hazy orange with no head, aroma brought notes of cherry, touch of earth, vanilla, hints of earth, touch of grapefruit and lemon. Taste is a bit bland, touch of earth, grain, vanilla, some cherry, finishing lemon, slightly sour.

Bottle 375ml. corked.

Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate tart, cherry stone - wood, cherry notes, light berries, vinegar - acetone notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, cherry stone - wood, fruity - berries, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121109]

Pours a muddled bourgundy color with light fizzy white head. Aroma is leather, tart cherries, and light funk. Reminds me a lot of a thinner Monomoy creek by Cisco. Pretty nice.

Shared by Thorpe429 alongside several other Allagash sour/wild ales. Thank you very much, Mike! The beer is dark brown and hazy with crimson highlights. The nose brings cherries, booze, yeast, funk. Notes of mushrooms and earth. The flavor is a bit odd and jolting. Booze presence is a bit too forward. Tart finish with moderately low carbonation. Overall, this was just OK.

Bottle, 12.7 oz. An almost clear one, dark golden to amber in body and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is dominated by berry-like sourness, cherries mostly. Some lemony hints and a funky touch. It’s quite effervescent, medium bodied and tart, with flavors of berries, almond notes and some faint notes of burnt rubber I think. Lasting sour and berry-ish finish. Well, a pleasant beer, but lacks on complexity I think, and otherwise quite ordinary. 121109
