COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Allagash Saison is our interpretation of a classic Belgian farmhouse style. It is a golden hued beer, brewed with a 2-Row blend, malted rye, oats and dark Belgian candi sugar. It was hopped with Tettnang, Bravo and Cascade hops. Fermented with a traditional saison yeast strain, this beer exhibits notes of spice and tropical fruit in the aroma. Citrus and a peppery spice dominate the flavor and make way for a pleasant malt character. Saison is full bodied with a remarkably dry finish.

Doughy yeast on the nose with some pale hay malts and a touch of citrus hops. Mild spicy notes at the top. Pours pale golden with light white foam that disappears quickly. The flavor starts off bitter and the spice and white pepper comes in the middle. Faint metallic taste at the end when the hops come in and maybe some grass. Light body with active fizz and slight saison soapiness. Finishes dry.

Bottle from a 4 pack. Poured pale yellow with a 1/4" bubbly white head. Belgian yeast, pepper and fruity hops on the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor with a "just right" amount of barnyard funk. Light spice. Light bodied and dry. Aggressive carbonation. Nice!

Pours a golden amber color with big fluffy head. Aromas of citrus, grass, yeast, and some dusty notes. Starts spicy effervescent, then to some grassy funky highlights...

Bottle to tulip. Cloudy straw yellow. Quick head. Nose is light lemon citrus with a tease of banana. Palate is all wheat with a dance of the citrus from the nose. Clean finishing. More fizzy than I prefer. None the less yummy.

On tap at Brixie’s Beer Bar & Grill in Brookfield, IL., dispensed to a 7 oz. hi-ball glass showing a clear & bright, golden hue, with a frothy layer of white head foam, and clingy patches, ribbons, and spots of lacing. The nose was fruity, with a mild blend of citrus, pit fruit, tropical scent, a hint of banana, and some spicy phenols. Light bodied, uplifted by lively carbonation, the taste was similar notes, with some citrusy tartness, and a bit of dryness, with modest, earthy bitterness. Benchmark crisp & clean.
