Tiarna is a blend of two beers, one aged in oak and fermented with 100% brettanomyces and the other fermented in stainless with a blend of two Belgian yeast strains. Both beers were brewed with a combination of 2 row and wheat malt in addition to specialty grains. It was hopped with Hallertau, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops.

2016-08-13. Crisp golden yellow body with a modest white head that fades. 3+ Aroma is lightly woody and and funky. Flavour has a good amount of oak, moderate Bretty fruit and funk. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. 3+ Decent, some nice depth and character to it but the wood is a touch more prominent than I’d prefer. 7/3-4/7/3/16 Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo.

375 mL bottle. Orange body and a little hazy. Smells of brett, doughy malts, and some Belgian yeastiness behind it all. A little bit of citrus, too. Tastes really nice. Bretty yeast. Bright citrus. Grainy malt. A little bit sweet. Earthy bretty notes in the finish. Medium body and a little creamy. Well carbonated. Very promising and reminiscent of quality Belgian sours, but doesn’t quite reach the heights of a really great beer.

Une vraie wild ale à la robe dorée et à la fine mousse. Le nez explose de notes levurées et acidulées et la bouche est droite, nette, longue et équilibrée. Un délice.
