Aroms is crisp, fruity and malty, with hints of honey and lemon. Malty flavor is a little tart with a fruity undertone and a touch of caramel. Texture is very smooth, and finish is just a little sweet. Very satisfying. WisconsinBeer (521), St Paul, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours a a hazy orange gold with creamy white head that dissipates to a thin later. Aroma is a citrus mango with coriander, bread and yeast. Flavor is banana, yeast, candy sugar. I definitely can find the honey notes in the sweetness. Body is creamy and a little thicker than expected with high carbonation. decaturstevo (1980), decatur, Tennessee, USA

Honey and clove with a bready aftertaste. A bit foamy but as expected. A very nice offering. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2009 Was a dark copper/light orange color as poured from a 750 ml bottle. A nice white head. Smell is of spicy citrus, with some candi sugar and honey also detected. It is a malty and sugary beer with a big yeasty finish. Didn’t really taste all the spicy, which I expected from the aroma. Golden body with white head. Flavor of fermented fruits and thought the last one had some spice this Allagash spiced up my life a little more. Wow odd stuff here for my palate I quess. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Nice looking brew. Cloudy orange color with a thick white bubbly head. Aroma was a little lemony, but mostly yeast. Flavor was like a typical tripel, but much weaker. There was no sweetness and I didn’t notice any alcohol present. The palate was really throwing me off. The finish left a very metalic taste in my mouth. I don’t really understand why people seem to like this so much. FlyingSwine (169), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Pours a super cloudy light yellow, with a nice frothy head. Medium lace. Aroma is honey and yeast. Flavor is honey and raisin, some yeast with a touch of malt and holiday spice. Palate is carbonated and fizzy, and the beer disappears in your mouth like pop rocks. Overall this was a very tasty, complex beer. Loved it.
