Reminded me of Leffe. Citrus and spice dominated the flavor with hints of grapes and honey. 0o9i (333), Reno, Nevada, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Corked bottle from BevMo. The hazy, orange-hued body of straw sparkles, topped with a huge head of eggshell that fades to a sheath and coats the glass. Spicy aroma with clove, coriander, sugary malts, light fruits, a wisp of lemon, a perfrume-like fragrance of a floral base (like gardenia). Mouthfeel is medium-full with gentle carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Flavor is crisp with citrus, lemon, straw, coriander, and a long, balanced finish that dries the mouth. Hints of wood, esters, white grape. AgedOak (74), Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2009 This bomber pours a cloudy golden yellow/orange with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast and fruit. Taste is of sweet bread, vanilla, honey and a subtle malt, followed by undertones of fruit, especially citrus and banana. Started with pouring two-thirds of the botlle and finished with the last third to get the full effect of the yeast. This is a very impressive Tripel and one I would like to locate again gringo332 (238), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Started out not so good, i think the bottom half is the best part. Thats the problem with large bottles. Hazy yellow color with orange hints. White head that disappears quickly. Aroma of coriander, banana, vanilla, and yeast. Spicy flavor with banana, bread, and vanilla dominant. Very nice beer! geofbaum (14), Delaware, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 10, 2009 750ml bottle. Slightly hazy gold/amber color with a decent head that dissipates relatively quickly. Typical abbey yeast smell and taste with an overall taste that isn’t overly sweet for a tripel and quite easy to drink for being 9% as well. A good tripel and representation of the style. Aroma was mostly yeast with a bit of sweet banana. Nice carbonation and body. Tastes sweet with honey and coriander. This is an excellent beer from a great brewing company. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2009 12 oz bottle. Orange hue color, slightly cloudy, small head which faded quickly. The banana and yeast aromas follow on by a palate flavor to match the aroma. Mildly sweet and easily drinking beer for a 9% er. Glad to find this in 4 packs as the big 750ml bottles hardly fit in our fridge.... Beardface (984), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2009 12 oz bottle thanks to my friend Leems. Poured out a yellow-orange with a fluffy white head and light lacing. Aroma was banana, pepper, coriander, yeast. Flavor was very fruity: banana, apple, kiwi and some yeast and spice. Very nicely done tripel which I would absolutely drink again.
