Pours a deep hazy golden color with a thick foamy head with nice lacing. I didn’t get much of a nose from it... perhaps a little clove. It was really sweet and had a strong cherry-medicinal taste. A little bit of yeast and alcohol in the flavor too. I’ve liked everything else from Allagash, so this might have just been an older keg. darkninja67 (40), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Dec 25, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Batch 96-750ml bottle- opens with a nice pop. nice cloudy golden pour with a quickly disappearing one finger head. Noted a slight fruity aroma, nothing strong. Carbonation was present and a nice fruit flavor. No alcohol detected and this was very drinkable. I waited for this one and it was well worth it. Well done for my first Allagash brew. kkearn (995), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Poured hazy golden, with a moderate sized white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma, with coriander, flowers, and aome alcohol. Flavor is big on wheat, along with spice, tropical fruit, wheat, citrus, pepper, and alcohol. Really nice tripel.
