Jan 5, 2008 Batch #84. Damn pleasant beer. I really can’t fault Rob on his brewing, and Allagash is starting to be my favorite American brewer. Beautiful color, pours with the perfect small bubbled head, 3-4 cm cream-white head. You can taste a sweet cherry-like yeast, and little pear on the nose. Apple/Pear on the tongue, just the right balance of sweet and fizz, and a little tang on the back of the throat. Easily one of the best American beers of the last 5 years. (Bottle Pour 1/2/2007)

Jan 4, 2008 Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel". Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Citrus and grain nose. Not very distinct. Citrus, pear, really fruity. Earthy, tangy, alcohol. Hop presence. Finishes dry with the alcohol and earthy notes. Ok.

Dec 30, 2007 Straw and wheat, slightly cloudy. Fluffy white head. Lots of fizzies. Lacing. Smells dry, like a wine. The flavor is predominately bananas and esters, with a dry sweetness and hoppy/spicy finish. Lovely.
