Sep 25, 2007 Light grain and light yeast aroma. Nice balance. Cloudy pale orange color with a large white head. Light fruit malt taste. Not as grapish as other tripels. Good amount of carbonation.

Sep 19, 2007 Corked bottle, batch 102. Pale gold in color. Clover, a hint of citrus, and a touch of banana in the aroma. The taste is very clove, spice, corriander, and yeasty too. The finish is long and dry, but in a good way.

Sep 14, 2007 Draft at Capones. Looks like a tripel. Smells like a tripel. Soild beer nothing wrong, but again nothing special. A soild interpretation of the style.

Sep 5, 2007 Bottle. Fantastic balance in this aroma. Caramel malt, lemon hops, and a moldy basement for the yeast. I also noted an undescribable spice, and pumpkin. Head is very fizzy, white and thick which diminishes slightly and has excellent lacing. It poured crystal clear amber in the begining, then got hazier as I went deeper into the bottle. Taste starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then the long finish is lightly sweet and bitter and moderately acidic and just a touch sour. Palate is light to medium, between watery and oily and has a lively carbonation. It finishes slightly astringent. If Belgian tripels were my favorite style the overall score could’ve easily been an 18 or 19.

Sep 1, 2007 Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy rocky off white head. Aroma is clovey, ripe fruits, grassy, yeast and hints of spice. Initial taste is sweet, apple & heavy clove. Finshing with a banana, yeast and bitter hops on the palate. Palate duration is good, nice lacing of the glass, and good head retention. Sticky mouthfeel.

Aug 31, 2007 750, corked and caged. Pours a cloudy and very dark straw color with a towering, foamy platinum blonde head. Rings of sedimentary lace. Soft, sugary nose: fruity, definite pitted tree fruit there of the red variety. Cotton candy as well. Smells suspiciouly like their Grand Cru, in fact. Medium body, soft carb, hides the alcohol well. Has a tart crispness that the Grand Cru gets by without; that would be the primary difference between the two. Not much finish. Not all that exciting a beer.
