COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing.

Golden color and foamy white head. Dry finish and phenolic spice. Hint of sweetness but pretty dry. Warming towards the back. Belgian yeast aftertaste.

Draft at Uno (Hamilton, NJ). Pours yellow gold with decent white head. Aroma is banana, clove, wildflower, bread dough. Taste is sweet and spicy - the banana is still present, pick up some of the sweet/earthy/floral tones from the honey. Alcohol is warming and present on the tongue. Quite a good representation of the style.

DATE TASTED: March 4, 2014... GLASSWARE: Affligem chalice... OCCASION: going out with a bang before a sober Lenten journey begins... APPEARANCE: hazy active light amber body; thin, uneven snow white head; random tracings... AROMA: intense orange peel, coriander, slight raisin, and melon--complex and inviting...PALATE: fizzy, medium-bodied; cutting, warm aftertaste that is also refreshing early...TASTE: sweet honey puckers the lips; soft herbal textures round the flavor into an extremely pleasant experience; startlingly unassuming for a tripel... OVERALL: elevational! By the bottle’s end, I was hoping for more...clean, floral hops sift between the stronger citric presence...a fitting Fat Tuesday celebratory beer, round, complex and alcoholic enough to be a party in itself...

Poured from bottle from cellar (54F). Pours a slightly hazy gold with thick creamy white head. Aroma is spicy, wheat, butterscotch, and caramel. Taste follows the aroma, leaves a nice, creamy long finish on the palate. Really really good.

Robust 1.5" white head, moderate lacing. Hazy medium gold. Sweet aroma with fruity notes, low banana present. Well balanced sweet at first with rush of alcohol soon after. Low bitter and moderate grain complexity. Moderate to high body and high, long-lasting warmth. A beautiful beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer does have the aroma of a sweet toffee, banana and a hint of barnyard similar to a nice chardonnay. The color is a golden hue and the flavor is smooth up front and has a lasting mouth feel. The Alcohol is noticeable toward the back with a little bitterness. Very nice!! Cheers.
