This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing.

Pours a hazy golden color with a frothy white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of fruity esthers, banana, spices, mild alcohol & some herbal earthiness. Taste of honey malts, spices, banana, candy sugar & a light smooth alcohol taste. High carbonation & a nice creamy mouth feel from a smooth complex malt profile.

Hazy gold pour with a medium, fine-bubbled white head which fades to short and leaves moderate lace. Pine and citrus hop nose, with some dough. Medium body and big, though fine-bubbled, carbonation. Mouth feel is accordingly creamy. Belgian yeast, light caramel malt, tobacco, a touch of farmhouse, pine and citrus hops and more yeast, bread and cheese in the dregs with the sediment. Finish is medium, dry and umami.

Delicious little beer. Pours gold with a medium foamy head, slightly hazy. Herbal aroma, some apple esters, a little alcohol in the aroma as well. Tastes slightly grainy, also a little clove. Slightly stinging carbonic bite, some alcohol warmth.

Mild herby scent. Clear, pale gold in color with a slight reddish tinge. Medium sweetness and not very bitter. Medium bodied and crisp - very fizzy. Overall, light, pleasant, and refreshing. Recommended for a summer day.

12 oz. bottle as "Allagash Tripel Ale." Pours a slightly hazy golden with a fluffy eggshell head that settles down fairly quickly leaving some soapy rings of lacing. Nose involves honey, herbs, flowers, spicy hearty yeast, and candied citrus. Really nice nose. Taste is fairly sweet, with a nice balancing bitterness. Palate is toward medium bodied, creamy, slick, crisp, bright, juicy yet dry on the end. Fantastic brew, multi-layered, clean, delicious, wonderful.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow/orange with a white head. Aroma is earthy, citrus, sugar and spicy pepper. Flavor of zesty Belgian yeast, sugary malt and honey with a light tartness and no alcohol taste. Medium body with active carbonation. Really nice beer, well balanced, not overly sweet and lots of yeast character.

Hazy golden pour with nice frothy white head. Aroma is sweet with notes of citrus and banana. Flavor is strong and sweet with honey, banana and alcohol. Aggressive metallic finish. I may have drank too cold, and flavors may meld better if warmer or allowed to settle more. Good but not great tripel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: golden pour with large frothy white head. Aroma is spicy belgian yeast, honey, and caramel. Flavor is sweet with, caramel, honey, over-ripe banana and a little bisquit, then spicy/acidic with dusty yeast, alcohol, and high carbonation. Decent flavor, maybe should have laid this one down awhile so flavors would gel more. Not my favorite tripel.
