This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing.

A wonderful abbey tripel style ale, that I poured from a large bottle (marked "Batch #90") into a trappist glass. It had a cloudy gold-amber color with a medium-sized foamy white head with average retention. There was a strong yeast aroma, with alot of sweet caramel malt, and floral and fruity tones, with noticeable banana. A background to the aroma of some earthy and herbal hops for balance. The taste was sweet, with a slight wheatyness, and a touch of sourness underneath. Surprisingly, there was practically no bitterness in this beer, and even the alcohol finish was sweet. The body was somewhat thin, with low carbonation and light fizzyness, and a sweet wetness throughout, yielding to a slightly dry and warm alcoholic ending. A great tripel ale, and a reasonable price, but packs a punch when taken at once.

this beer poured a beautiful deep gold with an orange hue into a Trappist glass, with a big rocky head. aroma was full of fruity esters of banana and bubble gum, also a slight bit of honey and some spice in the background. Flavor was subtle and complex, with the highlight being a note that on the back of the tongue resembled toast with honey. flavor also had a light spiciness, and a bready yeastiness. palate was medium but full with a medium amount of carbonation. definitely one of my favorite if not my current favorite triple.

Bottle. White creamy and very high and long lasting white head. Haz yellow body. "Muddy wateres" aroma. I guess its barley ´malt with a good deal of alcohold. Not very good though. Pretty sweet and fruity flavor for a tripel. Barley malt flavor with a fair amount of hops. Falvor much better than indicated by the muddy aroma. Feels quite linght in flavor in spite of 9% alcohol which is hiddenb i´n a peasant manner. Far overpricen in Denmark though.
