The beer poured honey colored and hazy with a good size white head. It is definitely active and effervescent. It smells of bananas, cloves and bubble gum. Tastes are wheaty and sweet with spices. As it warms there is a perfuminess to the taste foloowed by a candied sweetness and a honey like finish. Mouthfeel starts as crisp with a alcohol punch in the finish and as it warms it becomes more smooth and mellowed. Overall highly drinkable and dangerous.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2007 750 mL bottle. Batch 94. Pours an opaque golden with off white creamy head. The nose is hard to pin down but I picked up a mix of malt, spice, banana, and bread. The carbonation helps just a sip fill your mouth and the complex flavors are quickly overcome by a firm bitterness that seems a little out of place. Overall a very drinkable beer that I’d recommend to others. I’m not a fan of the tripel style but this had a better balance towards malt away from the high carbonation and dryness typical of other examples of the style. FLnative80 (174), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2007 Bottle. 750 ML. Batch 92. Hazy, golden orange beer with frothy white head. Aromas of citrus, banana, wheat, and flowers. Medium bodied with an oily texture, nice amount of carbonation, and a long finish. Sweet flavor hides alcohol well. Well rounded beer. bradmccarroll (57), San Antonio, Texas, USA

The smell reminded me of some hefeweizens, with its fruity nose, possibly orange or lemon. It had a spicy initial flavor with bits of honey poking through as it rolled across the tongue. Full bodied and leaves a strong warm, lingering finish. Very nice sipping beer. dmac (1442), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear golden color with a huge, long lasting white head. Excellent lacing as well. Sweet aroma, with a peppery character. Taste is pretty complex, with some spice and citrus. Yeast and some alcohol were also in the flavor. Smooth from start to finish... with a pretty good mouthfeel, but not that impressive. Overall, a very good beer that definitely met my expectations. kevd193213 (486), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of bananas and yeast with some other spices. Taste of hops, faint alcohol and malt. Nice even finish. Great tripel, and I am indifferent to this style so if it impressed me that’s saying something.
