00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Oct 1, 2006 Pours out a nice cloudy amber color with a huge white head. Aroma is sweet and yeasty. Flavor is superb. Has a great yeast hit and finishes with a fruity hint. Over all a very good brew. BT (85), Newtown, Connecticut, USA Sep 26, 2006 Excellent, beautiful beer (batch #80): Poured a golden, but slightly cloudy, wheat with a wonderfully thick and creamy white head. Aroma was swet and yeasty, mouth was pefectly pleasant, with a slight bite. Flavors are typical strong Belgian ale. Very, very nice! illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 22, 2006 Corked bomber. Batch 64. Pours a milky hazy golden with a nice fluffy white head. Nice looking triple. Yeasty aroma with strong notes of banana with a hint of spice. Initial flavor is very fruity, I pick up banana and pear with a nice medium sweetness. Finish is dry and peppery. As it gets warmer, the white peppery hotness really hits the back of the mouth. Very solid triple from Allagash, and moderately priced too. I’d drink this again. HDane (81), Chesapeake, Virginia, USA Sep 15, 2006 Bomber. Pours a orange haze. Aroma is very yeasty, with oranges, some spice, and maybe a hint of bubblegum. Flavor is once again very yeasty, with the spice coming through. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, with a tad of carbonation coming through. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA Sep 10, 2006 Bomber - Batch #82 - Pours a hazy golden yellow in color with a whitish head that fades to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is characteristically Belgian with fruit (green apple is accurate), honey, and lots of yeasty goodness. Flavor is classic Belgian yeast with a spicy, but mild hop bitterness. Body is a bit less than I would have expected. Little evidence of alcohol. Finish is yeasty and nicely hoppy bitter... medium length. A very good beer and one that I *will* repeat.... PilsnerPeter (2598), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 10, 2006 Updated: Apr 8, 2007On tap at Barcade. Pours a pale golden, with a white film for head. Has a nice tart fruity aroma. A bit sweet & viscous. A touch of green apple and raspberry, and a little yeast. The flavor is pretty good, but seems somewhat syrupy, or artificial in some way. Not enough dryness for a Tripel. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Sep 8, 2006 Batch 77- Hazy yellow colored body with a thick white head. Cream taste and no after taste. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Sep 7, 2006 Thanks Kevin! The beer pours to a very hazy straw yellow colored body with an airy frothy white head. Decent lacing. The aroma is clove honey, nice interesting herbs, pomegranate and orange rinds. Very nicely balanced. The flavor is nicely toasty with a delicate balance of honey, banana, toasty grains, nice! The palate is smooth, good texture.
