4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a foggy, platinum wheat color, with a finger and a half of lingering, white foam. Lacing dissipates quickly, but the foam keeps for quite a bit. The nose is potent of sweet honey, and oats (honey nut cheerios), with other notes of ripe, tropical fruits like mango, guava, and over-ripe banana. Mild spice coming through as well. The taste starts with a slight granny-smith apple, that carries as oat and honey notes start to bloom. There are slight notes of aforementioned tropical fruits, but more on the unripe/sour-ish side. The banana is muted a bit, as there is a bit of a spicy hop finish. Lingering hop with slight sweetness accompanies a lightly resiny mouthfeel. Overall mouthfeel is fairly full, and spritely.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden with a white foamy head. Fruity nose with banana and a spice, maybe clove. Big mouth feel, malty wheat pokes is head through for a second and then disappears into a boozy sweetness. Banana, apple, lemon, bread. Coats you mouth in sweetness(good sweetness) and finishes boozy and dry. Complex, I would recommend.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy straw color with two fingers of a pillowy white head. Aromas of passionfruit, grape, apple juice, bready yeast. On the tongue I get tropical sweetness, apple juice, yeast, light alcohol notes, creamy mouthfeel. Really great stuff. This is probably the best I’ve had from Allagash so far. I’d say this is also perhaps the second best Tripel I’ve had, second to just Westmalle. They are quite similar, but I think the alcohol is hidden better in the Westmalle and drinks a bit smoother, but great nonetheless.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well balanced for 9.0% brew with the alcohol well hidden. The taste is actually quite light. Light / Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. A slight maltiness is present with a lack of hop flavor. A fairly clean finish coupled with an afterglow of bitterness and alcohol.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
More clear than I thought it would be, kinda piss colored. Didn’t like the look.. I love the balance in this one. Just boozy enough to make you feel it, but not overshadowing the belgian yeast profile that I have come to love. Carbonation is light. The hops have a mild resin, but it’s the yeast that really shines with this beer. If i were blind tasting, I would not guess that this was not made in belgium. Very good

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Floral aroma, with a slight citrussy hint. A beautiful clear straw/golden yellow, with a large white head, the head holds well, and has only moderate lacing. Taste is sweet with a hint of floral bitterness. Feels pleasant on the tongue, a tiny bit oily. Overall, superb beer.

Tripel Ale, is hazy bright orange with a coarse thick white head. Citrus armoa.Very little bitterness, rather clean and refreshing with taste of orange peel, citrus, lemon. Very light for a 9% ABV. Medium carbonation, just a enough to be refreshing. Love this pale Tripel.

Bottle. Pours a pale straw yellow, white head with so-so retention. Nose is mainly cloves and yeast. Mouth is more cloves, bubllegum, banana and finishes slightly warm. Not as good as I’d hoped it would be.
