The hazy, orange-hued body of straw sparkles, topped with a huge head of eggshell that fades to a sheath and coats the glass. Spicy aroma with clove, coriander, sugary malts, light fruits, a wisp of lemon, a perfrume-like fragrance of a floral base (like gardenia). Mouthfeel is medium-full with gentle carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Flavor is crisp with citrus, lemon, straw, coriander, and a long, balanced finish that dries the mouth. Hints of wood, esters, white grape.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 7, 2010 A: Poured with an average-sized, white head that gradually diminished to 1/2-finger. Body is dark yellow and hazy.
S: Very nice aroma... strong with orange and other citrus smells, with some light yeast.
T: Lots of fruit in the flavor, and again the yeast is lurking, but not too prevalent. Finishes slightly bitter, almost an astringent taste to it.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with lively carbonation.
D: A solid tripel, which is no less than what I would expect from Allagash. greig (174), Hamilton, New Zealand
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Beautiful golden/orange with creamy and rocky beige head which lasts and laces well. Aroma of pears, caramel, and oranges. Silky mouthfeel. Notes of oranges, peaches, and a herbal background note, with alcohol coming through, but in a warming way, not at all harsh. Delicious. weihenweizen (71), West Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Refigerated big bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours a little orange with some head that disapears fairly quickly. Nice lacing. The taste is citrus (tone is mostly orange and some passion fruit), floral, and some spice. The best triple I have had. Chalsk (27), North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2009 750ml bottle batch #21 (cellared 6yrs). Pours a great golden orange color with a huge creamy white head that leaves a great lace. The nose is full of fruit and yeast at first, with notes of spiciness as the beer warms. The taste was delightfully smooth beginning malty sweetness, fruity and yeasty in the middle and ending with a tart, citrus bitterness. Alcohol makes its presence known in the finish, but is surprisingly subdued for the higher alcohol. Full bodied with a full but crisp mouthfeel. Delicious. EHopper (348), Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Brother Jeff brought this from CA to CO for our reunion. Felt is was just a good, traditional Belgium. Immediately good, some sour, some bitter, very bubbly put dissipates fast and with it the beer seems to lose something. Still nothing I would ever turn down. lithy (1860), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Smooth eggshell colored foam sits on a dark golden yellow bottle. After falling there is a full sheet of foam retained on the glass. A fruity spicy aroma with just a bit of alcohol noticeable. Bright fruits, pears and pineapple with lots of cloves mixed in. Taste is more fruits, passion fruit, pineapple, pears, floral honey, lots of spicing, alcohol spicing, no heat though.
