Aroma of coriander, honey, pepper, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, citric, yeasty with notes of earthy malt, honey, flowery esters. Mouthfeel is full bodied, lightly sticky with lush carbonation. Very nice tripel. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA

Batch 20: Set apart by wonderful, balanced handling of the taste and alcohol, perfect rocky head. Snappy, tangy, incredibly crisp. Fruit hangs in, hops are strong. This and the Grand Cru would make a great surprise for someone who has never had hand crafted beer, I think. Jayme done good sending me ths one. BT (85), Newtown, Connecticut, USA

Aroma was swet and yeasty, mouth was pefectly pleasant, with a slight bite. Flavors are typical strong Belgian ale. Very, very nice! SudsMcDuff (1841), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Poured hazy golden yellow with small white head. Soft carbonation. Fruity sweet malt aroma. Medium bodied Belgium-style trippel that starts with light malt sweetness and spicy (clove), intensely fruity (pear and kiwi) flavors. Very fresh and rich tasting ale with complex flavor character. Finished dry with light spicy clove flavor fade. Smooth. Complex character. One of my favorite Allagash beers. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Really quenches my thirst during these 100 degrees nights! Aroma is fantastic! Slight passion fruit but more of a monstera smell (look it up it’s a great fruit!) Look is perfect - great head, lots of activity, golden color. Very tasty. Can be a bit sweet at times and the alcohol hides well, it really does not show up on the taste. Well balanced with a good mix of carbonation but nothing too heavy. Very smooth finish and leaves the tongue and mouth happy and wanting more. Great tripel! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Flaske.
