Aroma is very pleasant, citrus and spice. Taste is citrus and other fruits, banana, pineapple maybe. Possibly hint of wheat. Moutfeel is smooth with a tiny bit of heat from the 9% abv. Not at all overly citrus. A good brew from the nice people in Maine! axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

The use of the fenallic yeast kind of give it a minty aroma and flavor. Not too much mintiness to ruin the beer but borderline drinking too quick after brushing your teeth. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2006 750ml. Batch #79. Fluffy white head that reduces to a persistent quarter-inch of lingering foam. Plenty of lacing. Opaque orange liquid in the glass. Bready yeast in the nose with some orange and citrus thrown in. Mouthfeel is a quality I rarely feel compelled to comment on, but this one is great in the MF department. Taste is a fine combination of yeast and slightly sweet malt, citrus and something else kind of like wood or bark. Alcohol is obviously present, especially on the downtake, but is still mellow for a 9%. Really good stuff. I would imagine a year or two of aging would make this even better and maybe mellow out the alcohol a bit, but in its current condition, really very good. haggis03a3 (140), Piedmont, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Light golden with a tiny bit of cloudiness and an ample white head. The aroma is malty, yeasty, a bit sour, fruity - complex. The flavor was a good balance of sweet, a little sour and a little bitter. Good palate and carbonation. A very drinkable 9% alcohol tripel.
