Growler tap. Pours a hazy orange color with a sparse and barely-there white head. Aroma is light fruit notes with noticeable malt and funk. Flavor is sour funk up front with fruity and vinious notes toward the end. Alcohol is barely noticeable, very well hidden. Fantastic beer, it really is.

Appearance: opaque dark yellow, fine white head, dippy bits of lace,
Aroma: sweet malt aroma with a lot of wine character, growing spicy funk, touch of lemony tartness,
Flavor: rich malt flavor, lots of tartness, touch of oak, winey sweetness, good complex funyness,
Overall: the wine stands up to the sour and funk to make it well balanced,

Aroma is lactic, sweet and cereal, fruitiness and oaky. Taste is very sour and full fruitiness. Definitely some diacetyl in there. Also some cereal and carbonation. Finishes with a lingering red fruit lactic sourness that lingers along with the cereal grain. Graininess is in no way obtrusive or overwhelming. Also some stone fruit pit. Solid, but not complex. Would like another fresh sample.

This one pours a light golden orange with a small head that dissipated quickly leaving a bit of lacing. The initial smells were of sweet fruits, pears and apples, and a big brett presence. I definitely thought this was a great crisp smelling brew on a hot summer afternoon. The taste was sweet with apricots but with a big funky brett kick. The finish was where I got the first big oak taste, which lingered for a while. Mouthfeel was very light and crisp and suited well for a hot spring afternoon. This is a very drinkable brew from Allagash and I would seek this one out if you have the chance. This one is ideal on a hot spring afternoon in GA.

Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla oak, citrus fruits, spicy yeast, brett, white grapes, and leather. Taste of citrus fruits, lighter Tripel spices, oak, vanilla, and a lightly sour finish, with no alcohol at all. Thanks to TomDecapolis and goldtwins for setting this one up!

Thanks to TomDecapolis for sharing this one! Poured a medium golden color with a very small sized head. Aromas of wood, funkiness, vinous, woody, and fruity. Tastes of vanilla, wood, funky, fruits, and grapes. Light tart and sour finish.
