COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vagabond is the second offering in our limited 375 ml series. With only 500 bottles made, this beer is from one of the only barrels to move with us into our new brewery three years ago. Aged four years in American oak barrels, it boasts a complex aroma of maple syrup and port, with background notes of marzipan, plum and dill. Flavors of tart, unripened plum and caramel give way to a warming, toasted almond finish. As always...an adventure.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of a generous trader on BA. JetsonFest II. Cloudy, orangish brown appearance with a tiny, disappearing, cream colored head. Aroma isn’t that enticing: thick oaky, tree sappy, tangy, dark sour, plum, overripe citrusy, funky aroma. It really does taste like a whiskey sour ale. Intense woody character, light vanilla, caramel/maple, a bit nutty, tangy dark fruity, somewhat tart flavor. This was a huge disappointment to me.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Dark red pour with thin to no white head, aroma has notes of biscuit, sour fruit, toffee, touch of caramel, whiskey notes come through as well. Taste is sweet whiskey, vanilla, dark fruit, biscuit and caramel, touch of sour fruits, finishing fairly sweet. Pretty nice, but a bit disappointing.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of RCL. Pours a cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Interesting aroma of wood, caramel - and a tart edge. Medium body, lowish carbonation, sweet vanillaish oak, but also a lot of overripe or even rotten fruit. Again this tart edge. Subtle and delicious. 260412

Bottled. A dark red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of wood, malt, and berries, as well as a bit of brett. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, brettanomyces, malt, and caramel, leading to a tart finish.

Pours amber in color with a short lived off-white head. Smells just terribly buttery. Lots of diacetyl overall. Butterscotch and maple syrup are also present, maybe some over-ripe fruits. A bit of spicy oak and a light herbal note. The flavor is really no different from the aroma. A bit more oak and herbal character, however. But still a lot of butter, butterscotch, caramel, and maple syrup. Just really odd. Not a fan.
