TheAlum (3277) - Lisle, USA - JAN 1, 2011
375 ml bottle from SpeedwayJim. Thanks. Pours a glowing white zinfandel hue, a light haze, small frothy ring laces small. Aromas are tart, sour grapes, some berry tannin, wet oak, funky brett and a sharpness of dust and touches of cheese. Touch of coriander comes through. Some vinegar, touch of maltiness, lingering acidity. Initial Is mellow, some druiven and light coriander, wheat malts, bread, dry bretty funk. Dry, with coriander, funky blanket, straw, dust. Touches of grapeskins, lingering tannins, oak, red wine even, wet dust. A bit strong on the abv, fairly dry overall, the grapeskins add some nice tannins, decent acidity, bigger funk. Nice. Not world moving, expected some more acidic or sour kick.

Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - APR 26, 2012
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, wine, and a bit of brett. The flavor is sweet and a bit acidic with notes of caramel, wine, grapes, malt, wood, and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish.

Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 26, 2012
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of gn0sis. Pours an almost clear amber with an off-white head. Baking yeast aroma, with a slight tartness. Medium body, rotten fruit, baking yeast, minerally and salty. Clearly the sourness is from a bug blend - and hence not really convincing. 260412

hopscotch (7522) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 17, 2012
Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours mostly clear and amber with no head. The aromatic highlights are fruity, tart cherries and a small measure of caramel. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is an enjoyable fusion of caramel sweetness and tangy fruitiness - reminiscent of cherry Pixy Stix candy. Finishes sweet, tangy and fruity. Thanks goes out to landhoney for popping the top on this world class brew!

wedgie9 (1441) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Tasted on 2/11/12 from a corked and caged bottle. Pours a clear, fiery, light amber, with a thin white head that quickly dissipates, leaving just a thin collar of lace. The nose is a nice combination of caramel malt, sour citrus, perfumed red wine, and barnyard funk. The flavor is a bit more vinous and somewhat hot, with the caramel malt and barnyard funk coming through very nicely. The body is full and sticky with nice tannin, lighter than average carbonation and a long vinous and sour finish.

375 ml. Bottle pour. A cloudy amberish color with a white head. Nice brett sour taste. White grapes own the flavor. Nice.
