2013 release.
Appearance: The body is slightly hazy with a dark amber hue, the head is tall with excellent retention, leaving thick messy lacing as it settles into a thick and creamy coating.
Aroma: Grape aromas are most prominent providing a slightly dry aroma with hints of tartness and some honey.
Taste: Sweet honey is prominent on the intro and runs through the beer, there’s hints of grape flavors throughout coming off semi-sweet and adding a mild fruitiness throughout.
Palate: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: This is good, but very one-note. I am actually a bit sorry that I opened this solo as I’m not sure that I want to finish it all as it becomes a tad cloying.

Bottle. This is a really interesting beer. The grape notes are very noticeable and the sweetness and alcohol warmth provide a nice foundation.

From a 75 cl bottle shared. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick off white head that recedes leaving lots of lacing. Yeasty aroma. Smooth mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. A bit of butterscotch in there.

Draft at Gingerman. Pours a glowing orangey amber with a great looking offwhite, thick, foamy head. Really nice looking beer. Aroma of fruity grapes, bubblegum and yeast. Taste is slightly boozy, very vinous, yeasty, musty, spicy with notes of caramel, malt and sweet fruit. Long boozy finish, almost sherry-like. I found this a little too boozy and vinous and those aspects kept increasing as I drank the beer, which decreased my enjoyment of it.

2/26/13. Ticking leftover RBWG beers at Kickbacks! Hazy golden orange pour with a small off-white head that fades to a ring but laces decently. Sweet white wine aroma with a dose of Belgian yeast and some maltiness. Lightly sweet and tart flavor flavor with definite grape/wine, a bit of mustiness, tartness, Belgian yeast, a touch of malt, and lingering maltiness.
