Aroma is candy, fruit, and sour funk. Taste is sweet with bread, caramel, fruit, and spice. More spice, a little sour, and a fair amount of alcohol in the finish. Not the best Belgian-style ale out there, but certainly a good effort.

Bottle. Pours a hazed golden with a medium sized white head. Soft malt, a touch of oxidized fruit, sweet yeast, Medium bodied, a bit oxidized, malt, fruit, warm yeast. Sweet and fruity, warm yeast and a touch of grapes and raisins. Slight warming alcohol on the finish but never boozy. Certainly a bit of age apparent, toasty and warm, with lingering sweetness and yeast.

Lukaduke (2243) - Portland, Maine, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color with a finger or so of fizzy white foam that laces nicely. On the nose there is a good dose of belgian yeast, candy sugar, vinous fruit and a bit of light malts. The palate follows the nose but there is a heavy honeyed sweetness that masks some of the complexity of the fruit; pear, grapes and even a touch of sweet citrus. On the finish there is a lot of honey sweetness coing through.

Pours a cloudy orange with aroma of grape, pears and cherries. The grapes are at the forefront on the taste with no alcohol burn. Very tasty.
