Pours a cloudy orange with aroma of grape, pears and cherries. The grapes are at the forefront on the taste with no alcohol burn. Very tasty.

Dark orange with white bubbly head. Draft at Binnys in Lincoln park. Grape, yeast and fruity aroma. You can forbsure taste the cab grapes. Has a wine feel to it. I like it

Sampler at the great lost bear. Pours brown with a white head. Not a lot on the nose. Kind of fruity on the tongue. Finished clean. Solid but not up to the standards of other Allagash beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ROGUE (2200) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - JUL 27, 2016
On tap at SLL and 750ml bottle. Pours a medium amber color with a inch off-white head that retains a bit before becoming a thick ring around the edge. Fruity yeast aroma with notes of pear, raspberry and apple. Taste has a wheat presence to go along with the yeast. Some Bready notes and a pronounced sweetness. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Tangy and a bit prickly. Medium carbonation and a lightish body.

Pours golden orange with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of fruits, grapes, red wine, mustyness, sweet malts, yeast, and some caramel. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a pretty nice belgian strong ale.

On tap at Cannery Row Brewing Co. in Monterey, CA. Aroma is mild grape must, yeasty things. Taste is light Belgian-y vibes with some dry grape skin overtones. Mildly interesting but refreshing.

Clear orange gold, minimal tan head. Grape must, quite earthy, some hop earthiness as well. Some light tartness, deep back of the mouth raisin. Long oily finish, medium body. Great.

750ml bottle, shared with staff. 2009 vintage. Some dark fruit flavor, tannins, a bit of mustiness, but itís not bad. I was skeptical opening up this bottle up, but itís a good one to sip and share. Some oxidization, as expected, but Iíve had many other 6 yr old beers that were drinking far worse than this. Taste is moderate-plus bitter, slightly astrigent. Very dry finish. Very mild sweet. Medium-plus body. Drinks a bit lighter in body than the 9.3%, but you donít want to take more than a sip with that big drying finish, and somewhat musty aftertaste. Hazy darker orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving some bits of lace. Solid, interesting belgian strong ale, esp. for 6 years. Iím sure it was much better earlier, but Iím impressed that itís not straight awful now (I think Iím a bit more skeptical towards aged beers than most). Just kind of musty, mildly oxidized, mild bandaid character to it that sort of drags a bit.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A dense, finger-thick beige head forms over a hazy orange colored body. Lacings. The aroma has a vinous touch, without the alcohol, thereís a generic fruityness, some caramel and green raisins and a faint sweetish touch. Itís medium sweet on the palate, full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Caramel, some nuts and dried fruits, a generic fruity touch and something vinous. Still no alcohol warmth, the alcohol is barely detectable actually. Lasting fruity and grape-like finish where the alcohol finally shows up, in a good way that is. Nothing exciting going on here, but itís a solid one anyway. 150612
