drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Nov 7, 2009 This was a very tasty and enjoyable saison ale. Spicy. Fruity. Belgian quality. Flavors come out as you sip an wait. Lots of Chardonnay to the taste. Excellent. patrickfannon (271), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 6, 2009 Bottle. 25.4 oz. Pours hazy golden, with a thin, white head. Aroma grapes, hops, citrus, apples, hay, and wheat, Full bodied with a a smooth, tasty moutfeel. Crisp, clean finish, Very good sister brew to Victor. MrChopin (620), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 1, 2009 Transparent gold, foamy white head with plenty of lacing. Very soft nose of light floral and fruit, mainly grape and biscuit. Slight band-aid in the flavor, but the main notes are strong chardonnay, more grape, light lemon, and more yeasty bread/dough. A little peppery and hot, also rather dry and sticky. Pretty enjoyable beer, though seemingly muted and somewhat disconnected. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Oct 28, 2009 pours bright gold with medium white head. aroma is just bursting with grapes, a bit of oak, sweet malts, a little must. drinks smooth and fruity with lots of sweet grapes, some oak and must. a bit of caramel malt is in the finish. very drinkable at 9% and quite tasty. jujubeast6000 (768), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2009 Reviewed 7/21/2009 (2009 bottle):
Pours a clear bright golden colored body, with a big foamy white head, lasting. Fruity fresh aroma, light grapes, and dark grapes. Some grain smell, mustiness too, like horseblanket or something. Not too strong, though. Grapey taste, fruity, with a strong grape aftertaste. Light and crisp tasting. Some warmness, and a lot of carbonation. Light taste, not heavy, not alcoholy. Alright, light flavor, grapey. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 5, 2009 Stowehop on the hookup! Thanks bro! Pours a cloudy gold with a big white head. Very nice aroma of chardonnay, grape skins, oak, yeast and caramel malt. Flavor is complex and delicate. Grapes, white wine, oak barrels, yeast, bread and its very fluffy in the mouth. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Oct 4, 2009 This yellowish golden ale poured with a massive white head and a strong wine grape aroma. It tastes like a wine beer or a beer wine, not at all like a fruit lambic, for example. The belgian yeast leaves a taste on the palate that is reminiscent of Duvel, with some banana ester and a little citrus. This is an unusual, very Belgian beer that is quite satisfying. Gypsy19 (602), California, USA Oct 4, 2009 Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white fluffy head. Aroma has generic light fruit, bread, a little spice. The winegrape influence is more than apparent in the flavor, making it quite elegant. Other flavors include cream and alcohol. Soft mouthfeel, medium density. Overall, very good minus.
