redlight (1062), Winter Park, Florida, USA Jun 8, 2007 thanks mgumby! Sweet aroma, vanilla and spice. Pours golden blonde. Smooth and spicey, malty and kind of buttery.
RIXbeer (102), USA Nov 28, 2008 Year old cellared bottle (thanks Dave).
Pours a piss yellow until the yeast drops in there and then the haze develops with a nice thin white head. There is a nice yeasty sweet white grape juice aroma [with a tiny hint of mint?]. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Can’t feel any thickness at all. Leaves a little chalky after-feel in the mouth though. I could kill a few of these before they hammer the nails into my coffin! Nah, I’ll stick around and drink them during poker (so what if I lose all my money). Beershine (1515), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2008 Luminescent hazy gold. Fizzy, fast disappearing head. Smells sugary sweet, yeasty, custard, apple sauce, pear sauce, white grape juice. Very sweet but complex in its sweetness. Palate remains relatively clean, not sticky or cloying, with decent level of carbonation. In spite of how sweet it tastes, it remains clean and is complex. Tastes like it smells: too sweet but palatable with lots of ripe plum, pear, and white grape juice. Ice-wine like in flavor profile. awiseman01 (60), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Oct 15, 2008 On tap at FFF Brewpub. Pours golden, amber. Nicely hopped, but a great grape component comes through well. Excellent mix of hops and grapes. Nice changup. VTHopHead (709), Barre, Vermont, USA Sep 28, 2008 750ml - Poured a darkish yellow amber in color with a medium whitish head that coats the beer. Really good lacing on th e glass. Aroma is sweat and yeastywith plenty of fruitiness (white grapes, apples). Flavor is yeasty with a mild Belgian, dry (sweetness no more) character... bubbly... Finish is quite dry and short.... lingering fruitiness. Not bad... not that great... a quite good beer though... zappafan99 (347), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2008 Taste 9/8 Bottle(2006) Looks: Gold body, white top. Aroma: Nice Belgian aroma with a grape sweetness. Taste: A blend of Belgium and grape. Full and even with a good finish. Dry, effervescent with a little sourness. Glad I tried it.
