Sampled 8/22/09. This Belgian ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, orange, and sweet with some grape must. A medium bodied Belgian ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Nice orange and grape flavors. Some funk and must. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. This beer has aged well as this bottle is at least 3 years old. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Slifgtly hazy orange color, not much head. Fruity, Belgian yeasty aroma (peach and mango). Medium-bodied. Sweetish fruity - mango, apricot, apple - flavor. Oily palate. Hides its alcohol very well. Very American Belgian Strong Ale.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 omega (215) - NEW ZEALAND - JAN 30, 2012
2009 vintage. Where this beer impresses me the most os the complexity in the palate. I would not say that it is full bodied, but has a length that lingers in the mouth.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 callmemickey (793) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2012
A: Golden-orange body. Minimal head. No lacing to speak of.
S: Bam. Chardonnay hits you right of the bat. Its not overpowering though. You could still get some yeast, pepper, clove and banana notes.
T: More of the same. I think the Chardonnay grapes accentuate the flavor even more than in the nose. Banana and yeast carry the day as malt takes a back seat.
M: Smooth. Refreshing. Slightly acidic. Clean finish.
O: More of a novelty than anything else. A nice beer, but one that maxes out toward the end of the glass.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Leighton (4090) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2011
Bottle at the Funky 7, Brooklyn. Pours a cloudy, orange gold with a medium, white head. Big nose of yeast, banana, Belgian candi. Medium sweet flavor, some signs of age but I like ’em, citrus, spice, yeast. Medium to full in body with fine to average carbonation. Light warming finish, notes of white grapes, yeast, spice, fruits. Delicious beer. Has held up very well and this was just a joy to drink.
