On tap at Map Room last night...Pours a light copper, a nice bright off-white head, great retention and lacing... A nice musky aroma, grains show through with a little floral note... The taste is more of the same but you get more of the elderberries, nice and drinkable, alcohol hidden well... One of the better Allagash beers.

In short: A slightly funky and not-so-sour Sour/Wild flowery golden ale. Lovely
How: Tap at Extreme Beer Fest 2011
The look: Cloudy golden body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose has a bit of funk, dust and something musky/wood-ish. The beer has a big body full of grainy cereals with taste dried fruits, dry flowers, tannins, acidity, very mild sourness. One of the too many beers I had on that day. It’s not a precise description but you can bullshit people into thinking that if you wanted you could add more to a beer description by ending a rating with five periods…..
