COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Draft. Like a belgian wheat beer. Funk flavor. Refreshing with a subtle taste of hops. Excellent

12 fl oz bottle bottle from Lubiere (merci!), served cold in a tulip glass. Age unknown.

App.: Cloudy bright straw with a decent bright white head. Aroma: Quite yeasty in a way that I haven’t smelled before, some nice zesty citrus and spiciness, sort of a thick, brothy note but in a wheat ale kind of way (hard to describe), a hint of organic acids, some esters comes out as it warms, the earthy/lemony coriander comes out as it warms too, a nice Wit. Palate: Medium body, fairly full and velvety effervescence. Flav.: Really nice coriander notes, very well integrated with the wheat and light malts, some light esters and a little vague fruitiness, some yeast, much less than the nose (more in balance), pretty good Wit.

However old this is, it tastes good.

Pours a pale yellow color with a white foamy head. Smells of bananas. Was a bit carbonated with some banana and wheat flavors. Decent beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours into my Hoegaarden glass with a small foamy white head. The body is urine/pineapple juice colored. The nose is a bit citrusy, with the prescience of orange and coriander. Nothing special for a witbier, but it seems a bit stronger than normal wit. THe spices and orange continue into the taste. There is also some wheat and yeast in the flavor. But this one is light, there is a small bit of aftertaste but this could be downed like water. The mouthfeel is conducive to massive quaffing. It is light bodied, slightly bubbly and slightly watery. This is more of a summertime beer, it is easily quaffable. Overall it isn’t bad, it is more pedestrian than some of the Belgian Witbiers, more like Hoegaarden, not a bad thing if you want a lawnmower beer in humid weather but in the winter it is rather bland. 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a foamy white head. The aroma is classic witbier, with a lemon and grapefruit base and lots of spices, including cloves and allspice. The flavor is very citrusy, with a light fruity sweetness and a crisp tart finish. The palate is light and smooth, and only a little astringent. Overall, this is a very good example of a delicious and difficult style.

It has a terrific appearance. A very complex taste, it says it’s brewed with spice, and you can actually taste it. Very satisfying beer.

Poured a very hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pretty skunky with wheat notes. There are also some citrus notes with floral hops. Taste has a lot of lemon with grassy notes. Lots of citrus and wheat as well. This reminds me of a saison a little bit. Very good.

Bottle. Pours cloudy light golden with moderate white head, but becomes murky as the yeast settles. nose is citrus, spice and bread.. Tastes of bread and sweet malt, slight spice and citrus notes, and spice lingers through finish.
