My first Allagash beer and so far I am impressed. Not the most powerful or complex, but solid for a wit. Its easy on the pallette with decent finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BREWMUSKCLES (1610) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2010
aroma of vegetable something like ripe green cabbage and root vegetables with a touch of clove, coriander and two touches of sugar. tastes similarly with a light citrus backdrop very much like a (orange) creamsicle. that would perhaps lend well to the off white yeasty look and slick, creamy mouthfeel. if you only pour out half the bottle you see a golden lager since the yeast settles.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Thorpe429 (3542) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2010
G: Poured into a pint glass. Had this one last summer, and this is part of my quest to bring my old notes in line with the "electronic notebook" that BA so graciously offers all of us.
A: Light and slightly cloudy. Good amount of carbonation, and pretty good lacing.
S: Lots of excellent spicing here. Plenty of citrus and coriander, with a good wheat undertone.
T: Excellent. The perfect balance to the sweetness and the spice--it definitely does not overdo either one. Some floral undertones.
M: Very nice. Soft body and perfect for summer drinking.
D: As stated above, the perfect summer beer--next time you’re out in warm weather, see if you can find a small bottle of this; you won’t regret it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Chickencoop (188) - California, USA - NOV 9, 2010
Big bright orange/ yellowish bright pour, fluffy white head. Smell was yeast sweetness, some cinnamon/ coriander spice. Taste was clean, light, with more spice coming through. Mouthfeel was light, so if you like the lighter style coriander, you’ll love this. This was a solid beer, very drinkable, will be having this again.

Very pale golden, just a touch hazy. Aroma of yeast, citrus, wheat and spices. Flavor is full, dominated by citrus, with wheaty and spicy flavors as wll. Light bodied and refreshing. Very good interpretation of the style.
