A perfect witbier. Pours a cloudy straw yellow into the glass with a nice white head. Aroma is slightly spicy with some light coriander and grain. Flavor is a wonderful balance of coriander and the belgian yeast strain. I can’t stress enough the balance. To me coriander often dominates the flavor of a witbier, this is superb. Light and refreshing with a medium body.

Allagash White Belgian Wheat Beer--1999 12 oz. Bottle. 5.50% ABV. (4.25 / 5.0) Very cloudy golden white color. Light Belgian aroma mixed with delicate spice. Rich thick yeasty body balances belgian citrus tendancies and carries initial flavor through to light spicy finish. Sampled 4/7/1999.

12 oz bottle poured into heff glass. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a beautiful fluffy white head. Yeasty aroma. Mouthfeel is moderate with nice carbonation. Taste is refreshing with a nice banana tone to it from the yeast. Great example of a belgian wit beer

Bottle. Light malts with a good amount of spice, some doughy yeast. A good solid brew. Crisp and refreshing even if it is a bit thin and lacking complexity.

Draft at Busboys and Poets in DC. Pours hazy white with a medium sized white head. Flavor is spice, corriander, yeast. Solid wit, but still not much to work with in the style.

Sample pour at a local beer tasting event from a 12 ounce bottle. Cloudy pale yellow, bubbly effervescence with a light white head. Fruity, floral and citrusy aroma. Citrus orange & lemon flavors, but not hoppy. I picked up some spice flavors like coriander and cloves. Highly carbonated, medium bodied. A nice beer to drink, especially in warm weather. Somewhat light and refreshing and what you would expect for the style.
