2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JamesMulvenon (26) - USA - APR 14, 2010
Bought in a bottle at Total Wine in Springfield, VA. Tasted alongside Celis White and two weeks after Hoegaarden. Disappointing compared with both. Much less coriander and orange peel aroma than either Celis or Hoegaarden. More watery.

On tap at the Fort Worth Gingerman. Pours an opaque yellow that’s almost green with a small white head. Aroma is lemon, banana, and grain. Taste is yeast, bread, banana, citrus.

Hazy yellow pour with a foamy, white head. Bright zesty citrus aroma with some distinct pepperyness, some soft bready yeast and a dash of grains of paradise. The flavor is moderately sweet, with some sticky orange and lemon juice notes, yeasty bread grains in the middle and finishing with grains of paradise, clove, banana and slight honey. Creamy, medium full body with moderate carbonation.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 supercodes (12) - Maine, USA - APR 10, 2010
For me, this is the standard bearer for Belgian white ales. It’s a locally produced beer (Portland, ME) with immense popularity that can easily be explained when you taste it. The smooth herby citrus flavor so often associated with this type of beer is at it’s absolute smoothest and most natural. Perhaps only seconded by the flavor is the wonderful full head and the aroma you can enjoy while waiting for the beautiful golden cloud to simmer down. This is simply an enjoyable experience.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 djredpop (101) - Downriver, Michigan, USA - APR 9, 2010
Let me preface this rating by saying I don’t care for Wheat / White / Weiss beers, so my opinion is skewed from the get-go. Low aroma, cloudy straw colored with very little white head. Flavor is sweet / sour with a little citrus and a lot of cloves. Thin mouthfeel with too much acid in the aftertaste. I’m not saying it’s poison, just not my style.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 RPKLove (105) - Astoria, New York, USA - APR 9, 2010
Aromas of banana and clove and a hint of orange. Attractive appearance, a looking white. Taste is smooth and refreshing, again hints of orange and banana, a little spicy on the finish. The carbonation is very nice and lively, a perfect beer for a nice day.

A- amazing. very cloudy pale yellow body. Could see clouds swirling around when I set my glass down. Pours with a thick white head that fades to a thin beautiful head.
S- smells good. Distinctive wheat and yeast smells up front with spices and citrus in the background.
T- similar to smell. wheat and yeast up front with some citrus and spice in the background. very clean but slightly bitter.
P- light carbonation with light body. very smooth.
O- the taste and mouthfeel leave you craving more. very drinkable. easy to enjoy.

Tap at Eureka Burger. Rating #1016. Going off memory here, hazy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma was light citrus and wheat. Flavor was very light, a little orange (citrus), very drinkable but not my thing to often. (1151)
