COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Really solid beer, and I’m not a fan of this style. Beer was very well balanced, not too yeasty or sweet, very drinkable.

Bottled at Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a shady pale golden colour with a with a rich steady white head. Mild aroma yet quite dry and solid of yeast, coriander and dried oranges. Fairly light-bodied with rounded but still solid notes (for the style) of sweet lemon-pastilles, Seville oranges with a well-rounded coriander bite. Creamy and light mouthfeel. Long rounded refreshing finish of mild lemon, coriander, wheat and yeast. One of the better Wit’s out there.

Had on tap at Valhalla Table. Pours with a slight white head, cloudy orange, slight carbonation, little to no lacing. Smells of oranges, hops, and wheat. A light, easily drinkable beer. Tastes of citrus and spice, paired perfectly with my boar sausage and sauerkraut.

Bottle bought to try to convert a Blue Moon (by Coors) fan. Color is cloudy pale straw color with a thin layer of white dissipating head, spotty lacing. Nose is orange citrus and spices. Flavor is sweet wheat and cereal malts with citrus hop flavors, hints of light spices such as coriander and cinnamon, finishes slightly sweet. Medium body, mild carbonation, slick texture. A sweet and tasty witbier full of citrus and wheat tones, great ’gateway’ craft beer for the style that is smooth and easy drinking, see you later Blue Moon!

I may have simply gotten a bad bottle here. Pale and cloudy with a small head. A white should raise a bigger head, so points off there. Aroma is overwhelmingly sour. Almost like a lambic, but with some yeasty earthiness. Flavor is not too bad. Very mild and drinkable, yet spicy. Very drinkable, but lacking something.

Pours a pale yellow with a slight white head. Aroma is of orange, hops, wheat. Taste is about the same, rather watery, but very drinkable.

Draft at Teller’s of Hyde Park, Cincinnati. Pours a murky golden-brown with almost no head, but what’s there is white and leaves a small ring around the edge. Plenty of sediment floating around. Not pretty-looking. Aroma of wheat, orange citrus, coriander, grains, and yeast. Flavor follows suit well, and the orange citrus notes increase in both as the beer warms. Also notes of wheat, yeast, spices, malts, and grains. Medium-bodied with light carbonation and a wheaty mouthfeel. Quick finish. Something hints at being tart or sour but is restrained. Not bad at all for the style.

Slightly hazy yellow in the glass. Aromas of citrus, spice, and wheat. Light and crisp on the palate with a clean finish. Very enjoyable.
