COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a cloudy bright, pale yellow. Very nice nose. Strong notes of clover and dandelion. Overall very reminiscent of wild flowers and early summer. Definite notes of coriander and orange peel. Hints of sweet honey in the flavor, though simultaneously surprisingly dry. Very smooth. One of my favorites in this style.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow color, decent fluffy but rapidly dissipating head. Nice rich flavors that consist of citrusy lemon and orange. Aroma has hints of spices (coriander, clove, nutmeg). Crisp, dry mouthfeel and dry finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

On tap at Blind Lady. Pours a hazy gold, with a small bubbly white head. Light sour aroma, of yeast, wheat, spices, and lemon. Taste of spices, wheat, and lemony citrus. Lingering spiciness that ends watery. Not bad.

Bottle: Pours a cloudy, whitish gold color with a massive, fluffy white head. Not only is a massive blob of fluffy white head, but very persistent and lasting. Lots of sticky lacing. Strong aroma is spicy with corriander, orange peel, cloves, and yeast. First sip reveals a crisp, wheaty flavor with a moderate spicey background. More cloves, corriander, and faint citrus. Light yeast. Very clean and crisp. Very nice and overall quite enjoyable.

Decent white beer. Nothing to really grab on to though.. Some hints of fruit and wheat. Goes down smooth and isn’t heavy. No lingering aftertaste...

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2010 Cold in a pint glass. Pours very cloudy with little head and not much lacing. Color is very light and is basically a diluted yellow. Aroma is mostly grapefruit/citrus, bread, and yeast with some pine in the background. Taste is wonderful! Sweet with lemon zest in the front, malt as it sits, and then a very mild hop bitterness. Its light, thin, crisp, and tremendously refreshing on the plate and works wonderfully with sharp cheese and sweet fruit. This is one of my personal favorites that I would highly recommend for fans of the style. I dont think its a ideal example of type but it tastes great - and thats what I’m after.
