Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Clear yellow pour, white fizzy head. Aroma - bananna, clove and spices. Taste - light spices, very crisp and refreshing, yeasty, with a bit of an odd aftertaste.

This beer is a bit bitter and the after taste is not good to me. The appearance is great!

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Loads of lemon, citrus, wheat twang, and spice. Mellow drinking with lemon leading the flavor bragade. Nice spritzy finish and decent body.

DATE TASTED: December 22, 2013... GLASSWARE: Konig-Pilsener weizen...OCCASION: Browns/Jets--a meaningless game? Not for a fan!... APPEARANCE: hazily unfiltered, tawny yellow body exhibits slow, steady carbonation; thin white head settles quickly; some tracings.. AROMA: lively lemon zest, allspice and honey greets the nostrils--more than pleasant, even (especially?) in winter... PALATE: soft as falling snow with a fizz that sounds the same; light and cleansing--highly drinkable; a satisfying, lingering aftertaste...TASTE: slightly malt; damp lemongrass with some intriguing spiciness--pepper and allspice--delicious; yeasty enough to hold attention and round complexity... OVERALL: I liked this so much, I gifted my wife’s uncle with some for Christmas--and he agreed that this white is as formidable as we’ve encountered...

Tap. Cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Smells of spice, citrus, and yeast. Flavor is the same, on the sweeter side but with a balancing spiciness. Light bodied.

Bottle into pint glass, slight cloudy pale golden color with white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast (banana, clove), orange peel, wheat and faint spices. Taste adds notes of graininess, pepper, bready with some fruity hop bitterness. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with a sweet/faint spice finish. Tasty witbier.

ON tap at One World Lounge at LAX Cloudy yellow orange color. Bright white one finger head. Good retention and left sticky web like lacing. Banana, orange, spice, and some bread. Nice and light but slightly rich. In a good way. High carbonation, light feel. Nice US made Belgian Wit.

$3 for 12oz @ bottles in Spokane, WA. Poured to NB Globe. A: Pours a meringue yellow with a singe finger persistently white and fluffy head. Nearly neon yellow with excellent clarity until you pour yeast into glass. This then makes beer appropriately semi-translucent. Well done. S: Crisp, seedy coriander. Cool, slightly earthy scent. Very spot on for the style. T: Mmmm. I don’t normally like whites, but this, this is quaffable. Well done with appropriate grain flavors, nice banana, butter, coriander flavors can be found dancing here. M: medium body with crispy, highly carbonated feel. Nice feel. D: Good beer. Great representation of the style, particularly for an American brewery. Serving type: bottle 01-29-2011
