Bottle. Light gold pour, cloudy with a fading white head. Very saison-feel, almost don’t taste the wheatiness. Nice spiciness and earthy tones...grassy. Some honey notes, it seems...I want to say perhaps some coriander too? Very nice, right up there with the best of the style.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2009 Arrowhead Market, Deep Creek, MD - With a perfectly cloudy golden body and a spicy, clovish scent, this White is one of the best. A yeasty, classic Belgian wheat taste permeates the tongue while a well carbonated, yet slightly light body gives way to a sweet and dry finish.

Poured a straw yellow with billowing white head. great lacing.
Nose was of lavender, lemon, bread.
Taste was very flavorful, lots of different hop flavors for a white, very clean esthers, slight spiciness, floral, and clean wheat body. Very good american representation.

Bready, with some nice fruit tones. Light and very smooth with some carbonation. While tasty and full, it is rather one-dimensional. Still, it is far from disappointing.

Bright hay-yellow with a moderate bubbly white head, decent lacing. Nose is dominated by wheat, bubblegum, and lemon. Sweet flavor reminiscent of cream of wheat, also some light citrus and grain. Thin body, decent carbonation, short finish. Nothing extraordinary, whether right or wrong.

Pour from 12 oz bottle leaves a thin white head that quickly fades
to a ring and pretty good lacing. Now, I tend to defy the label instructions about swirling the bottle to whiten up the pour. Without the mixed in yeast, the body looks like chamomile tea. Aromas of mandarin oranges and fresh white bread. Lemon, grapes, grapefruit, melon are all there on the tongue, but mellow together. Not very complex, but a decent domestic representative of the style.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm, 10 Sep 2009) Cloudy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, wheaty nose with lemon peel, apricots and spices. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, apricots, wheat and a spicy finish with coriander and Seville orange. Slightly below medium body, balanced sweetness. Fresh and tasty witbier.

On tap at Red Coat in Royal Oak, MI. Pours a nice cloudy yellow golden color and a bubbly white head. There is a large aroma to this beer, big yeast and fruity notes and banana and clove and citrus. The flavor is smooth and complex. There is definite citrus flavors to the yeasty bitterness and banana/clove flavor. The palate was bigger than expected and complex throughout. Very enjoyable.
