Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Pours a cloudy light gold color with a smallish white head. Smells of wheat, some spice, yeast, and a little sweet cinnamon in there too. Quite pleasant. The flavor is very crisp and refreshing. Good spice and wheat characters. A little orange peel, coriander, and cinnamon spice round out the flavors. This is an excellent rendition of a Belgian wit in my opinion. Full flavored, crisp, refreshing, with good body to it. Well done.

Draft @ redlight redlight. Spicy nose, corriander, wheaty, somewhat sweet aroma with hints of citrus. Pours cloudy yellow with a thick white head. Sweet citrus up front, spicy corriander, yeasty flavors, very wheaty, very refreshing. Excellent wit.

Yay. Actually got this in my home town little bitty beer store. Very white color. Great aroma. Full of clove, coriander, orange and even some cinnamon. The flavor is warm and balanced with great wheat flavors backed up by the spices promised in the nose. The body is medium to light, but shouldn’t it be? Its a damn Witbier. Get down off your horse and all that.

Nice yellow beer, with a hint of orange coloring. There is not much head to speak of. The head quickly fades away. Average looking beer. Bananas, yeast, a some clove are in the aroma. It is not overly pungent. The smell is decent. There is nice lacing that accompanies the beer. The beer is nice and smooth. Very rich, a nice palate. The flavor is not great. There is not much to this flavor. Subtle ctirus, banana, and yeast flavor. Just a bland flavor if you ask me. The flavors don’t jump out at me that much. The commercial Witbiers seem to have a better taste. This beer is very middle of the road. Smells sweeter than it tastes. The beer could use some tweeking on the flavor, but other than that a decent beer.

Big fruity floral citrus aroma with orange peel and corainder. Tatse is very big on the spices. Light bitterness, nice big fluffy head every pour. Beautiful cloudy orange body. Very nice.

Draft at Ashley’s in Ann Arbor. Pours a golden yellow. Tastes of citrus and coriander, with a lot of carbonation. Smooth, but a little boring.

Tap.Hazy golden color with a short lived white head. Aroma of spices and citrus. Creamy mouthfeel. Wheat, citrus, coriander and pepper flavors. Spicy finish. A nice white beer, just not one of my favorite styles.

I had batch # 36. This is a very nice, tasty wheat beer. It’s a cloudy light gold with a big, bubbly white head that slowly diminishes to a smaller lasting head with a little weak lacing. The aroma is grain, wheat, banana, and dough, with a faint hard-to-pin down element that might be the spices added to it. It has a nice light wheat beer flavour of grain, bubblegum, with a banana-grain finish and a light hint of spice. It’s a little oily with a zesty sweetish quality, very smooth and pleasant, but a little too sweet.
