Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

12 oz bottle - a liquid the color of a bleached dandelion, hazy with a white head atop. strong aroma of breaktast wheat , like frosted mini-wheats. starchy and sweet, with lots of residual sugar apparent, and lightly spiced. flavor is a mild wheat and spice, with a few estery yeast elements but largely a neutral body. very refreshing and and crisp finish despite some sweetness - appropriate for a warm late-summer’s night.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Aroma of wheat, orange peal, clove, and slight hops. Initial taste is wheat, yeast, citrus, clove and corriander. Finishes with a soft sweet palate. Light body, crisp and dry finish that lurks you for more. Some minor head retention and lacing of the glass. A very enjoyable Wit.

Poured a cloudy straw color with frothy white head and even lacing. Smelled of alcohol and wheat with little hoppy aroma. Tasted like a traditional Belgian without the high carbonation. Good beer from a good brewery.

Pours cloudy, yellow, with a fine, white head. Aroma is yeasty with a bit of banana, vanilla, and spice. Moderate mouth feel with a spicy, yeasty flavor. Vanilla, banana, and some mildly hot spices make a pleasant belgian.

Tap at the Matchbox. Thoroughly hazy golden yellow with a lovely whipped cream head. Sweet aroma of caramelized onions, honey, and bananas. Clove taste with a quiet green apple and lemonade tartness. Dry, papery, yeasty. Palate is mildly undercarbonated with light to medium thickness, finishing very thin. Simple and sweet.

Pours a transparent yellow. Aroma is very skunky upon initial pour but as it warms up it smells more of clove, wheat, and citrus. Taste is a mixture of wheat and lemon. What is lacking in his brew is the finish; it is very flat. Other than that it is actually pretty solid and surprised me after the initial smell.
