WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Jul 8, 2007 750 ml Bottle - Pours cloudy/hazy yellowish-white, smells citrusy, somewhat spicy, tastes very citrusy - almost lemony - carbonation is perfect given that most Witbiers (in my opinion) have too little. Head formed nicely, but dissipated quickly. Drank it with a beer-battered brat - complemented it very well and was nice in the heat. Good brew. jgordon3 (1), west newton, Massachusetts, USA does not count Jul 4, 2007 A very pleasing spicy aroma with strong citrus scents. Pours a pale yellow colour , cloudy with a good white head. The body is light but moderately carbonated. Strong citrus with subtle spiced (perhaps...anise, corriander, vanilla) flavours. Excellent hot weather beer, strong citrus makes it very refreshing. I had it with Cambodian/Thai food and it matched very well. Glazed9884 (207), USA Jul 3, 2007 Would drink this one again, but not at the top of my list. Pours a cloudly, light caramel/gold color. Large white head that dissipates slowly, leaving a small white head which stays throughout the beer. Nice amount of lacing. Aroma has a strong lemony scent. There was a bit too much carbonation, but overall a nice mouthfeel even though the carbonation gave it a bit of a bite. There was a citrus taste, a nice orange taste throughout. There was a bit of a lemon finish. Pretty good control of the taste, a nice mixture with the spices and all. FezMonkey (268), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 30, 2007 Hazy cloudy yellow color with a medium size white head. Citrus and spice aromas and flavors. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jun 30, 2007 Bottled. A hazy orange coloured beer - the haze appearing at the final pour. A spicy, lemony aroma with oranges also. Light in body but there are the citric and spicy flavours I would expect. Shows more in common with French beers of this style than Belgian. ARMed (485), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2007 Rating for this beer are over-rated in my opinion. This smell is lemony and citrusy but with a hnt of a licorice smell. The flavor also has a hint of a licorice taste. It did have a nice refreshing taste, but the palate left an early aftertase that was not appealing.
Good white appearance and lacing though. PSmith (35), Kennewick, Washington, USA Jun 25, 2007 This is the perfect beer for a warm SE Washington day. Clean, crisp flavor. Corinander and a slight orange flavor hits your nose as you take in your first sip. On draft here in SE Washington. bilchak (45), Ohio, USA Jun 24, 2007 cloudy, yellow appearence. poured from a 12 oz bottle. hints of lemon and spices. beer is decent, but it lacks flavor and just seems to be missing something. a bit overpriced at 36 dollars a case wholesale.
