this beer had a really dirty after taste that sort of ruined it. I don’t think it was terrible, but there are so many better wits, especially for the price.

Bottle, shared last night. Somewhat hazy gold pour with a big white head. Yeast, bread, spices and sweet malts hit the nose. Flavor is very yeasty and bready. Pretty creamy mouthfeel. Well done style by Allagash.

Tap Capital Ale House downtown 08/26/2008. Lemmon, coriander, and spice aroma. Light yellow straw cloudy with small white head. Big Belgian yeast character with a moderate amount of graininess. Orange lemon zest. Light body with dry zesty finish.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Miver (607) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2008
750ml bottle. Poured a hazy gold in color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemongrass, cloves, citrus and bready. Tastes of wheat, fruity esters, bread, lemongrass, citrus, and some spices. I had a keg of this a few years a go and it was very enjoyable summer, session beer. Its still good but not the way I remembered it from back then.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Gypsy19 (728) - California, USA - SEP 6, 2008
I’m not too impressed with this one at all. Maybe it’s just the style that I don’t care for. While not unpleasant, this White is quite boring with no real character to speak of. Flavor is what you’d expect; Wheat, lemon, and a little pepper. I will finish it easily, but will not be buying again. Will have again only if offered for free.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 coldbrewky (1120) - Saugerties, New York, USA - SEP 4, 2008
Bomber from the rip and run. soft nose of lemons arise from this hazy yellow pour. A dense white fluffy head sits proudly upon the pillar of yellow haze. Body is loght and crisp with corriander and cloves. Citrus sueeze is a skash more intense than the spice that leads to a nice balanced sour finish.

Not much aroma. Poured with a light, fine, white head and a bit of lace. Hazy yellow color. A bit citrus. Kind of indistinct. Sort of crisp. Ok beer. Don’t pick up any of the spice. Not a bad finish. What finish there is though, is short lived.
