Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 29, 2006 Slightly hazy gold color with long lasting small white head. The aroma is really faint. I can pick up a bit of sweetness, banana and cloves I think. The first sip was a barrage of flavors and spice. A couple sips in and the flavor smoothes out like a freshly ironed silk shirt. Its almost too smooth to identify the flavors. It starts off rather neutral. Then there’s a wheat note followed by some tartness. About midway the spices kick in along with a pinch of sweetness. Very nice smooth tasting beer. millstadtguy (50), Millstadt, Illinois, USA Nov 22, 2006 Pours cloudy/hazy yellow with moderate head that dimisnishes to a thin lacing. Sweet & sour aroma. Taste of lemon. Not a bad beer. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA Nov 20, 2006 Decent brew from the US in the Belgian style. Nice cloudy golden pour with rich zesty taste. Great Offering for what it is. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 19, 2006 Pours a hazy yellow with a soapy white head that lingers. Aroma of bread, some spice, and lemon. Tastes of wheat/bread. lemon, and spice. Very nice beer! dmradus (225), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 15, 2006 Pours a beautiful bright gold-yellow (completely opaque and hazy) with a one-finger pure white head, big bubbles, fades to a cap on the beer and laces heavily. Nose is predominately spice - curacao, cinnamon or nutmeg, as well as some lemon. My first try gave me some definite pale lager notes...which was weird. Maybe an aberration. Taste is lingeringly sour, with spice upfront then fading then making a reappearance in the finish, which is very crisp and dry. Lively carbonation and pleasantly light. sirpsycho (342), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 10, 2006 From a bottle poured into a glass. Tried it cause it is compared to Hoegaarden often. First thing that struck me was a strange "celery" / vegetable taste that was persistent the whole way through, which I didn’t care for. Color was a hazy yellow. Head didn’t last long at all. I don’t think I will be trying this again. BeerHeadBobby (142), In Hiding.., Florida, USA Nov 9, 2006 Bottle and tap - Pours a pale yellow... Smell is lemon and slight hint of cloves.. Taste is wheat and a slight spicyness... MUCHHH better with a lemon on a summer day.. not bad jeffdog22 (23), lakeland, Florida, USA Nov 2, 2006 second witbier i’ve tried after blue moon...sooo much more flavor...nice spiciness, nouthfeel, clean finish...looking forward to trying others...redlight redlight
