COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Bottle. Pours a pale cloudy orange with a small but foamy white head. Aroma is citrusy and spicy, but mostly wheaty. Tastes very clean and crisp - less wheaty than it smells. Finish is nice and clean. Very drinkable witbier for the upcoming summer.

750ml bottle from Total Wine Tampa. Pours a bright, cloudy yellow with a one finger white head. Aroma: flowery and spicey. Tastes of citrus, spices, flowers, fragerant soap and perfume. Interesting witbier.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2008 First rating: 6/3/7/4/14 = 3.4 Re-rate: Draft. Pours unclear goldenrod with a white heads. The aroma is lemony citrus with an awesome spicy kick of nutmeg and clove. The flavor is very similar, with a nice balance of citrus and spice, but has a very light soapy-ness that detracts a little bit. Good nonetheless.

Sample on tap at the draughthouse courtesy of fly. Thanks!
Pours murky yellowish white a light whitish head atop. Smell is very wheaty, more so than spicy to me with hints of citrus. Taste is equally wheaty, with a lesser spiced influence which I like about it. Hearty, flavorful and drinkable, and a style I’m perhaps coming around on, a bit because of examples like this. Good witbier.

This pours a nice cloudy yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells like a white beer should, fresh and citrusy. Also tastes like I had hoped it would - crisp, citrusy, slightly carbonated. Very slightly bitter aftertaste, but overall very clean finish. I give this high marks due to high drinkability. I suspect I’ll be drinking more of this during the summer.

On tap. Very fruity and easy to drink. Served with orange, and picked up a lot of sweet orange flavors. Not very spicy. Very easy to drink.

On tap at Plan B, served with a slice of orange. Pours a cloudly yellow with slight white head. Tastes of your typical Belgian witbier with a nice blend of spices in the finish. Good, refreshing beer but make sure you drink it while it’s still cold.
