COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Bottled. A hazy orange coloured beer - the haze appearing at the final pour. A spicy, lemony aroma with oranges also. Light in body but there are the citric and spicy flavours I would expect. Shows more in common with French beers of this style than Belgian.

Rating for this beer are over-rated in my opinion. This smell is lemony and citrusy but with a hnt of a licorice smell. The flavor also has a hint of a licorice taste. It did have a nice refreshing taste, but the palate left an early aftertase that was not appealing. Good white appearance and lacing though.

This is the perfect beer for a warm SE Washington day. Clean, crisp flavor. Corinander and a slight orange flavor hits your nose as you take in your first sip. On draft here in SE Washington.

cloudy, yellow appearence. poured from a 12 oz bottle. hints of lemon and spices. beer is decent, but it lacks flavor and just seems to be missing something. a bit overpriced at 36 dollars a case wholesale.

Bottle. Tullip. Pours a very pretty yellow couldy ale. This beer is very typical of the style. Lemony flavors are also expressed in the aroma. Mildly yeasty and spices of coriander can be perceived. Good.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2008 The first two bottles were absolutely plesant, however, it does not lay down well. Generally a nice and wheaty wit. Generously yeasty, somewhat citrusy as well, graviating towards orange. Pure yellow body, medium wite head (when poured correctly). If I could get this on tap as well, I’m sure it would sit well as a session beer. (Bottle Pour 1/15/2007 and 6/23/2007) Sweet nectar on the nose, thin chewy and yeasty. (On Tap - Brickskeller’s Lupulin Reunulin - 05/13/2008)

On tap at Capone’s. Cloudy straw to yellow color. Gives me the impression of apricot juice; sour and a bit vinous. Tangy citrus/lemon bite. Tangy texture. Spicy/vinous finish.

Not too much of a head with this particular pour. Looks like a typical wit beer, cloudy/hazy and lite-golden colored. Smells citrusy and spicy, lemons and coriander? Rounded and smooth palate gives way to a crisper finish. The spice is subtle, pleasant and not overwhelming. Long finish leaves an almost drying tartness. I haven’t been to Maine in a while but this beer would certainly be refreshing on a summer afternoon in vacationland.

Hazy golden pour with white head. Nice wheat aroma. I have had this many times on tap in my days of living in maine, however i’ll rate it as the bottle i have just tasted in florida. I found that the tap had much more flavor. The flavor of the bottle was rather dissapointing compared to the avery white rascal, alot less spicy.

Has a hazy pale white gold pour with orange and yellow around the edges, a creamy white head, wheat, malt and mild coriander fragrances, faint white pepper aroma, has a wheat malt taste with lemon, very light pepper flavor, a balance of sweet and tart, light on the palate, lots of sticky lacing on the glass, tasty Wit, this beer looks like it was made with more pilsner malt compared to other Wits with all of gold in the brew, dry on the palate, I would get this again.
