MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA May 5, 2009 750ml caged and corked bottle (Batch #50) and served in a tulip. Lightly hazy pale golden pour with a big, chunky head of off-white foam that slowly settled. Very good lacing. The aroma had bright lemon, oranges, coriander, and also some mild funk. The flavor had lemon zest, honey, coriander, and some spicy yeast. Very round, soft mouthfeel from the wheat. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. I woudl have prefered it to be a little more crisp. I have had this on tap also, but this bottle-conditioned 750 was much better. Pretty nice for a wit. BMan1113VR (2752), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA May 5, 2009 12 oz twist off bottle as show in the picture. Pours with a small white head over a confusingly clear gold body for a wit. Looks filtered and does not seem bottle condition in this 12 oz. Aroma is quite nice though with coriander, bread, honey and flowers. Taste is honey, flower blossoms, bread, coriander and orange peel. Thin and somewhat water like mouthfeel. angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA May 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours a piss yellow with a white head. Aroma of cinnamon, clove, vanilla, wheat. Nice spicy wit. Cinnamon, clove, vnailla and wheat taste, a nice spicy wit. Elwood (647), Leesburg, Virginia, USA May 1, 2009 Draft. Pours a hazy yellow with a rocky, white head. Yeasty citrus, primarily lemon, and a bit of biscuit in the nose. Medium carbonation with a light, slightly dry mouthfeel. Yeast, coriander, and lemon make up an otherwise unremarkable palate. Unfortunately this one lacks much in the way of depth and is pretty ho-hum. Crisp, clean finish. Highly sessionable and good for a summer day. rcasta (470), El Salvador Apr 27, 2009 desde portland maine hasta wine-o con ghawener, guayo palomo, neto , rickt, juanca barrientos y estuvo buena. no tan fermentada y mas suave pero no son mi tipo ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Apr 25, 2009 Bottle: Drank at a beer tasting event in Wine-O. Has a nice soft fruity flavor, lots of malt and light traces of spices (cloves). Overall a nice event especially with Guayo´s family anecdotes! Should become a regular event. madvike (301), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 23, 2009 750ml bottle - Batch 51 - This bottle has been sitting in my cellar for a month or two, and I’ve always found something I’ve wanted to drink more. Finally pulled it out to share with the wife, as the weather is getting a little nicer. Pours hazy golden amber with a big frothy head. Nose is all oranges with a bit of spice and yeast. Yum. Flavor is oranges, wheat, and nutmeg. There’s a hot, spicy finish that almost comes off as hoppy. A little harsh carbonation, but overall not a bad beer for drinking out on the porch on a sunny day. tlokester (4), San Francisco, California, USA does not count Apr 23, 2009 Good taste, that was too quick to leave the palate. Nice head out of the bottle. Good aroma. Not a bad American version of a belgian wit.
